Had a blast running with you guys last night even tho I was the slowest in the lobby,GT has ruined my driving style,hopefully once I get this game and the G29 sorted out my pace will pick up,it was nice meeting all of you.

Ok, so I'm not that great with technical stuff. If I download that app to my computer, how does it work with my PS4?

I am also a bit handicapped when it comes to all this stuff. I have done a lot of reading and then more reading.

I believe on the first page gives the instructions on what needs to connect and change. If the info is not there I suggest getting a cup of coffee and start reading the thread.

I downloaded VrHive onto my laptop and all I needed to do was switch on the UDP option in the menu as @TheFilapino stated above. the app does work

Looking forward to tying this crewchief and pcars. The issue I have is i do not use a headset I use earbuds. What most of the guys are doing is using both headset, for game sound, then inserting earbuds into their headset to listen to crewchief.

I am waiting for a work around and also to see what other apps appear in the next month or so.

From what I understood, the audio from Crew Chief is coming from the computer right? If so, that means that I can't hear the chief from my TV right?

Effective Season 6/Round 1:

11th = 6

1 point/pole
_______________

Participation Points: Awarded to drivers for competing AND finishing individual races.

Note: PP's are not championship points and are used solely to give marginal weight to a competitor's combo vote. Drivers must finish a race running, in order to be eligible. Drivers who leave the lobby for any reason or retire in the pits or trackside shall not be awarded in such situations.

1 Point/race

I downloaded PCARS dash yesterday on my phone. Being so small it's not particularly handy in love time, however it does hold on to laptimes and sector times. Great for reviewing. Also, I've read that the game transmits the live data during replays as well. I've not yet tried this, but that's super handy for reviewing that super hot lap you want to replicate :)

Also just upgraded to Windows 10 so I'm gonna look into that Crew Chief thing as well.

Snetterton lap times, ??? Can't remember that long ago.

Well I read a lot and i decided to try the Crew chief and VrHive. Why did I choose VrHive? Simple , it is free. No down side except my time. Also both could be down loaded to my laptop.

VrHive was easy to install. Easy to operate. Only had to change one setting and it works just fine. I am able to overlay two screens. There are four or five options for the type of screen and color. Numerous other options to adjust to customize to the output. You can even change the red line RPM per car. A wealth of info at a quick glance.

Crewchief was a little harder to install. I have yet to try the voice recognition. Need better mic. and ability to use game sound. At first the program did not work. In the upper right is field "Game" I had to choose Project Cars (network data). This took me some long research to figure out. Once I changes to network data the program came alive. Useful info. Brings a new realism to the game. Still need to figure out how to use both ear buds and at the same time listen to crewchief.

Yet to decide where to put the laptop. I can see the benefit of using a tablet or phone. You will be able to mount in direct view of the screen.

So if you have a laptop, android phone or tablet (I have a kindle and iphone) you should give this a try.

Hello I would like to join and try to make the races tonight
I know its short notice so no worry if not.

PSN: sccaracer36
GTP ID: sccaracer36

I think I'm supposed to send @Lessen and @Cardahs a friend request so I'll do that as well.

I believe I'm still a member of SNAIL but inactive for quite a while.

Welcome @SCCARACER36, if you would like to pick your liveries for this weeks cars that would be great, the cars can be found in a previous post. Racing will be Tuesday's 9PM eastern, you will be invited 10 minuets before racing starts.

Welcome to WRC @SCCARACER36

I am very much looking forward to kicking off this new season tonight. We should have a nice array of talent here and interest picking up a tad. Should be a lot of fun :)

Guys, since I don't have a mic, would it be possible if we would to make a group chat so that I can actually send messages?

Is anyone setting up a practice room before the race? We have an hour till race starts and would like to get some people together and turn some laps.

I will try my best to attend but at the current time I am dealing with strep throat and not feeling well.

@Vitessekid

Party is for audio chat. You can use the community if you want to post a message for all WRC members to see. However, using the community to "chat" is not very efficient and quite frankly a PITA. It's difficult to go back and forth to read messages during race night as sessions begin somewhat swiftly, at least that's what I aim for. I wish this game had an in-game chat box. It needs one.

Or I can setup a group? @Lessen

That's what a person suggested me in the support sub-forum of the official Project Cars forum.

Also why isn't my livery getting changed? I've changed it both in my garage and in the lobby I created but it doesn't work. :dunce:

@Vitessekid

Yes, that's probably a lot better. Mainly because I can view messages on my phone rather than going into PS4 menu's. As far as everybody else, I don't know who all has what capabilities.

As far as liveries.. could be glitchy... I never know if I got it right or not because I use helmet cam and depending on the car, can't see much of it. It is possible to change it though in the lobby, at least should be able to.

That's what I did, gave me a #60 Ginetta. Is the lobby opened?

... and I cannot for the life of me understand how you guys are full wood up the hill at Woodland. Are you not spinning the tires as the car crests? No matter how straight I have the steering, if I'm full throttle in 2nd gear there, the tires light up as I crest the hill and the car is basically uncontrollable unless I lift approaching the top of the hill. :banghead:
