@Lessen I'm good with any day you decide for practice, also I have a question, can you still use the wired headset and mic plugged into the controller even with the wheel hooked up,trying not to have to buy another headset if I can help it
Yes you can.

Yes. This is what I do. I need to be able to hear my surroundings (kids waking, cats/dogs, wife complaining etc) so I can't use the gold headset I bought :). My 10 yr old son uses the gold headset all the time because he does NOT want to hear everything around him (parents etc).

Thats how I have mine. I have a pair of ear buds with a mic plugged into the controller. You have to make some adjustments at the main dash board, I believe under "devices" to tell the system where the audio will go, either the TV, headphones, or combo.

Merry christmas all.

oops did not scroll to bottom of page , already answered. hahaha

I'm ready now guys, see you Tuesday

Good morning gentlemen! :) I hope everybody had a very merry Christmas and is ready for Season 6! Voting results are in and the Mclaren F1 has been replaced with the Ginetta G55 GT4 @ Cadwell Woodland for this week, and provisionally for the following three. The Ford Sierra continues in it's 3rd consecutive week as we revisit Snetterton.

Guys, we need more people to be voting, only 4 people? Come on, how can i expect to race the BMW Pro Car if only 4 vote :/

Agree, need more voters. I also was looking forward to that BMW, since we already drove the G4 at the beginning of the series. Maybe next time.

According to data, Ginetta GT3 was available for use in season 1 & the Ginetta Jr. became the 4-week car for season 2. The GT4 version has yet to be run in this series. Fortunately, we only HAVE to race it for one event :)

But... it would be nice to have a fuller ballot box. Also, I think I need to revisit the details of the tie-breaker format. I don't think it makes sense that I should receive a PP (used for tie-breaking) for a race I did not complete.

For the record, I only tested the BMW and have driven the Lotus before, and I was leaning towards the ginetta as the more welcowelcoming option for our newer members. Some of our closest racing has been with lower hp. I'd like to have more disparity between the cars, but I appreciated the curve grim started us on during the early seasons.

I'll practice a little, but usually try to get on an hour or two before the races. Having it fresh in my mind seems to help. The downfall is that by the third race it can seem a little tedious.

That said, I'm getting on soon, so if anyone wants to give them a whirl...

I was surprised that I found the Lotus to be a little easier (maybe just more predictable) in this game than GT6, or maybe I'm just getting used to the difficulty?Slower cars are indeed a better introduction to this game and always produce closer racing. Fast cars highlight how average I am. :)

I couldn't select woodland in a public lobby and since it's a kart track, no qualifying? The circuit was was fun though.

Are you guys going to start now? If not, what time + timezone?

Edit: Forgot that I had started the 2 days PS Plus trial when I was driving. Bought 1 year of PS Plus.

I'm not sure why you were unable to select it in a public lobby, but it does look to have an active pit road. When I tested I drove to the track from it. We shouldn't have a problem with having qualifying.

I'll be on around 8:30 est to open up a lobby.

Maybe because I had a 16 car grid?

Just tried to create a lobby, the default is 12 cars and I can't increase the cap.

@Lessen am I now considered as registered? How do I choose my livery on this thread?

Also, how is the fuel / tyre strategy supposed to work? Do we need to pit? For instance with the Ginetta G55 GT4 with "Forced Default Setup" I can only go for 6 laps before running out of fuel.

I've tyically been putting new guys down as "active" until they do not race for a couple weeks after applying. As far as liveries are concerned, it's fairly informal. Just post here what you'd like to run as "yours" and I'll update the Livery post.

As far as fuel goes: The game will give you as much fuel as it expects you'll need for the length of the planned race. So... even if you start a room with a 30 minute practice but a 2 lap race. The game will give you only enough fuel (even in practice) to run the 2 lap race. It's really flippin' stupid, but that's how it works. Although, it seems that if you take that car to "free practice" and go into your default setup and save without making any changes, that it will give you a full tank when you go to practice in a lobby (I've just re-tested this and it works for me).

Thanks Lessen for hosting, I apologize for my very unconsistent and rough driving, please do give me some time to finish sorting that out. I couldn't find a blind spot indicator option either, which kinda bothers me because the button I assigned the left right view to is quite far and inconvenient for my thumb to reach in intense situations. I'll try to come as often for the practices if this goes on, but I'll be unlikely to come for the Tuesday races due to school.

@Vitessekid try the above link, or anyone else. It is a verbal blind spot indicator. the last 10- 15 pages are where the info for consoles are located. Many who have tried it are very pleased.

Also there are numerous third party apps to enhance this great game.

Ok, so I'm not that great with technical stuff. If I download that app to my computer, how does it work with my PS4?

There's a new UDP option in the game play menu in pcars. 1 is the fastest, 3 works well for me. There's an android app as well.
