My stance on it is that I don't care if I receive a car with miles, but my cars with 0 miles, I have issues putting the first mile on myself :scared:

Idk why, if it's for the trade value or what, but I tend to leave 0 mile cars that way for no reason, such as my 0 mile Zonda LM that I really want to drive but I cant make myself do it : /

I'm pretty baffled by the new 0 switch thing, but too each his own. I never would have thought that would be hot. Now I understand the 0 mile thing....you don't want some other lead foot twisting your frame outa whack now do ya?? :)

Torque twisting the frame is not modeled in GT, there's chassis refresh which essentially does nothing. The only thing that a 0 mile car has over a similar car with miles is the lack of needing an engine rebuild, which is solved easily enough before trading.

I really don't care though, if ya'll want to waste your time collecting 0 mile cars have at it, just don't get all butthurt when you're called out for engaging in such a pointless and seemingly couterproductive (in a game where the point is to drive cars) compulsion. It's illogical too, no car has 0.0 miles IRL. It's comparable to collecting guns in a video game with 0 rounds through it, all guns, just like cars, are tested at the factory.

sarcasm man sarcasm

Sorry but it's just dumb to collect 0 miles car. It has got to take weeks or months of playtime, for what? They'll never even drive them. They're just digital cars with impossible mileage, not only is it obviously dumb from my perspective, it's obsessive and kind of saddening that people use their time in such a way. Don't get me wrong, I love games, but once day comes where I'm collecting near literally pointless things in a digital world is the day when the ps3 goes in the garbage. That crap ain't healthy.

Again, why is it dumb? Not EVERYONE is trying to make a collection of every single car in the game with 0 miles (although there are those who have successfully done so. Some have a dedicated race car and just want to collect a second one because they like that car. How is this any more obsessive than people trying to figure out how the LSD or suspension works in game? (go and check the Tuning forums and you'll see quite a few debate topics on the subject). It isn't unhealthy until it interferes with your actual life.

Collectors play the game differently but does not make their way of gaming dumb.

Meh, stupid is fairly subjective. But I'll try to make it objective, the game is a driving simulator, or at least it claims to be. It's stupid to play a driving simulator in a fashion that discourages you from driving. Might as well just collect pictures IRL or videos on your hard drive of people driving them, or better yet pictures of cars rolling off the assembly line, wait can't have that, that adds mileage. How about cars hovering off the assembly line?

Sorry, last I checked games are all meant to ENTERTAIN. Just because others are entertained differently than you - museum cards, paints, collecting, whatever - doesn't make it stupid. How does collecting cars affect YOUR way of gaming? How people should enjoy the game is subjective.

Check the odometer on this one, I think it's a rewind...

Yep, that it is.

Honestly, do we need yet another thread complaining about zero mile cars?
