Hoping it's more than just a glitch fix! :)

The last couple of patches were a bit of a letdown.

The Kazunori Yamauchi thread reports that he tweeted that there will be a new kind of multiplayer or something!

Maybe we get the Signatech Nissan LMP2 car free with the update if they have modelled it in time for maybe some online event regarding 24 Hours of Le Mans.

By the way, your signature with the bolded part that says "GT5 never runs at 60FPS", well that is false, it does sometimes and averages within about 5-10FPS of 60FPS constantly.

can someone tell me when is this Aussie time?? (sydney) thank you!!!

why do you think this is an patch? Maybe they got to work on the servers...

The downtime starts about 16 and a half hours from right now. If that helps at all.

If by false you mean true, then you're right! You cannot race with several people and have the whole race go a smooth 60fps. It's impossible. And even then, the actual resolution of the game is much lower than 1080p. It's probably half that, and upscaled.

When does the gran Turismo page usually update with the patch information? Is it right after the maintenance? Anyone know?

I wish that following what they did in the original Gran Turismo (Hi-Fi mode), they added an option in GT5 to either run the game at 1080p 60fps with limited features, or 720p and 30fps with more of them (more cars, frame stability, graphical effects, etc).

I meant false, if you say true then you're wrong. The key word you said is "never", I like to see you prove the bolded part of your signature right. What is the point of even making the claim it runs at 60FPS if it "never" does right? Well it does at points in race and usually is quite solid in time trial mode. The resolution is 1280x1080 which is quite impressive considering it runs near 60FPS most of the time, maybe around 50FPS for more of the time on a GPU that by todays standards is on the very low end of things.

GT page usually updates straight after the patch, at least on the day on the patch.

Damn, you just made my school day ten times longer. :(

c'mon PD give us some proper racing classes in the update. that would be so cool, being able to tune cars within certain parameters. luvly jubbly !!!

What's that Time in GMT ?

Is the 06 part the month or the day?

That it might make 60 frames in a second at a couple points in a particular game mode isn't really what a discussion like this is about. I don't believe you can do anything in GT5 without the fps dropping below 60. That it's 60 fps when nothing is on the screen on a short section of some track is irrelevant.

Patch is up in 4 hours!
