I don't think updates will be cumulative. When I last played LBP for example I had about 5 updates to do on order to get to latest version.

You can now export all photos to XMB too, which is ace. A fantastic update from PD I think. Loving online xp and cash too.
 
Is it the same PS3 or same PSN account? If it's the same PS3 system then it's still flawed as if the system breaks, the save will not work. Can someone with 2 PS3 consoles copy the save to the other and see if it works?

This is good. Now they need to do the same with pre-race car configuration. TCS is always set to 5 by default (I want it OFF by default) and sometimes (I don't know if it depends on the events or if it's random) the transmission is set to automatic. What the hell! So it happens that I don't even notice it, I start the race and realize I can't change gears :ouch:

I don't remember which race it was, but the automatic thing happened to me last night too, pre 1.05 update.

Just a thought, but can it be that they changed the roof-view to a hood-view? I never used the roof-cam, so I'm not that familiar with its angle, but when I was just driving my new Caterham, I could swear that this was more a hood-view than a roof one? I already was thinking about it, when I drove the Maserati before that...there I had the same impression.
Can anyone confirm this?

No it was like that before, some cars seem to have the traditional hood view (Particually single seaters and race cars) I think it is something to do with how low the seat is in the car. Although it is not at all consistant with all cars.


On a side note when I logged in earlier I got 5 museum cards and 5 paints.
Now it has passed midnight I have recieved 6 museum cards and 6 paints.
Perhaps tomorrow it will be 7?

So did PD increase these items by 1 for each consecutive day that you play?

I will try that later unless someone beats me to it. I've got 2 PS3s with the same PSN account on each.

I tried copying the save to a new user account without a PSN ID made and it still said this save is from another user and will create a new save.
 
If I understand it right its the same psn account...like the being signed in online thing. Oh ok...the original save was made being offline?
 
Honestly I love the updates, but the number one thing I want to see is an improvement to the AI. I just want them to recognize me on the track. It's kind of a pain in the ass to try and run a clean race and end up being spun because the AI is trying to run its "Line" and shoves me out of the way.
 
ok this is a little off topic but, i've got a problem here, after i install the 1.03 update, the game wont start and always displaying message that i have insufficient space on my HDD and i have to at least have a 32 mb space, i already checked my free space and i still have around 10 gb space, what should i do ?? if i cant install the 1.03 update, then surely i cant install the 1.05 update, this is really sucks because from the information above, the 1.05 updates sounds cool
 
I don't know if it's been mentioned yet, but I could swear shadowing is also improved. Like I just drove my '88 Accord around Suzuka East. when I watched the replay, the shadow under the car looks a lot less jagged. 👍

just an update, off topic kinda but this allows me to continue the game and download 1.05. it effin worked, effin worked man. i used seagates seatools and it repaired the bad sectors on my drive and the ps3 was able to restore all my users and data, so after the 1.05 update is done i will be able to make a backup (makin 2!) and go to sleep. i have been up for so many hours. i didn't go to sleep cuz my drive crashed at 4 this morning. after scouring the net, hooking my drive to pc, running repair software, i can thankfully not jump of that bridge. so eat ya popcorn but im back baby!

It switches to automatic after you do a B-Spec race, since apparently Bob can't drive a stick. :dopey:

That was before the update anyway, I don't know about now.

What I am glad to see is that the save back-up files can't be exploited by uploading your own save and giving it to other people to have. Glad they looked into that before just allowing people to save their files on a USB.

Wish they had looked into it sooner. My PS3 died a couple of days ago. IF it can't be fixed I have lost my save. Along with over 100 hours in several other games.

any one else notice you do not need to do a chassie restore after you drive the car.. Just took out a brand new car on the track and went back into GT auto and it said i did not require to restore the chassie yet.

Update: never mind.. Something must have happened before but I tried the same thing with a different car and you still have to do the chassie refresh after one race.

Dunno if it was already mentioned, but they fixed the rev meter in the RX-7 (FC) and the gear display in the NSX GT500.
