so....what... you're just expecting people to go do this? whats the deal
:indiff:

for the last time noobs - drifting in a high hp machine is not an indication of skill level
if anything it hides skill (then again, this may be your intention)

i would say a 1000hp supra would be crap for drifting, it would have little useable torque and too much of a power spike. i like to drift in cars with fairly linear power, a stg2 turbo at most, and use the entire rev range to hold a drift if i can. i actually find myself just staying in the middle most of the time, but maybe i suck :P

I use my 1100hp supra all the time to drift LOL my white & black one.. =D Its in all my videos :) its really fun if u know how to use it.... looks cool in videos when your burning out at 120mph =D

heh i started on maxxed cars, mayb not the best idea for a noob drifter, cos i had to find a "forgiving" car and learn pretty quickly, tho i did have the whole selection of pal cars to search through, my first car was a mercedes cl600 now my fav car is a ruf ctr. i have used the supra now and then tho its not too helpful at 1000+hp

too much hp? thats why you go to a big sweeoing track like apricot hill low hp cars do well on a touge like deep forest if throtle control and counter steer is un talented then go ahead and call me untalented :yuck:

I will call you gramatically incorrect. Punctuation goes a long way towards promoting readability.

Now, not too say that I'm a terribly talented guy myself, but check the Centrifuge link in my signature. That is a 252hp 240SX Type X on Apricot Hill. It should serve as direct proof that the big numbers you post are utterly ridiculous, not too mention unnecessary.

If you think it takes skill to mash the gas and burn the tires, then by all means show us your skill - but I think you will find that everyone elses' version is going to be quite different from yours, not too mention more elagant.

Go drift the MR-S at full tune around Midfield, on sims. Then we'll talk. Drifting the high power Supra requires no skill at entry, as you can power over anywhere, anytime.

i drift my 180hp 86' supra in real life and have been for years now and yes it is hard and much more elegant but drifting in a 1000+ hp supra is someting i will probibly never get to do in real life that was all i was saying.

And I was drifting my 190 HP 87 MR2 around in real life, and yes, it is harder.

My fav drifter would either be an MR-S, MR2 GT-S, or Opel Speedster.

And periods are good at the end of a statement.

Well, I had learned drifting in a 500HP Supra too........now I've come into a 320HP range when it comes to my fav. drifting HP. It IS more difficult.........but the Supra looks better............anyway try a Silvia Aero tuned to about 320HP, that's pretty nice and now I can try much more different cars instead of just one: the 500HP Supra
AND I now can try to drift on Apricot Hill raceway, caus I think that demands a less HP car.

Much more bennefit if you start learning wih lower HP :) only a tip though

eventually, you will get bored of all the high speed drifting and try something new

AS I did:lol: I can now drift a BMW, although it's a FR car, I know, you can't drift it while your used to an overpowered Supra
:)

Exactly correct. I really have a lot of fun drifting the 328i. Looking forward to the 330i in GT4!

WHHAAAAAA!!!! DO NOT start about that GT4 (heaven), I try to be stable and neutral about GT4 (though I am FAAARRR from that) so that if it get's delayed AGAIN:scared: :reallyscared: :EVEN MORE SCARED!!!::scared:, I won't kill myself (I probably do but........well....):crazy:

BMW 328i ROCKS!!:D:D:D

I very much enjoy drifting my Silver 1000hp Supra RZ (as well as my 1400hp polished gold hybrid 4-rotor RX7 RS)... It holds beautiful high speed drifts... I also enjoy my stock power S13 Silvia (not all that different than my real stock power S13)... Low power does indeed take more skill to master, but the high powerd cars, if on the proper tires (Soft, Super Soft), can be a very rewarding experience... It takes good reflexes to keep a high powered car in a smooth manageable drift...

I do not really care about huge power. The Supra with all that power is kinda a burnout show car deal. I have one around just for kicks on mediums. Usually when I want to drift for fun I use my NSX or a 240sx. The NSX needs only sims to be a monster and the 240sx with gobs of power is a breeze to drive. For the last few months I have not really been in the mood to drive cars that are hard to drive. Only fun ones.

I tried to find the 240 to buy in GT3 PAL, but actually I can't find it..........of what manufacturer is that car, I only see a Nissan 200sx not a 240sx

240SX and the 200SX are the same chassis, just different names. The S13 and 180SX were sold as 240SXs in the USA, with the KA24DE powerplant. The 200SX was given to the S13 over in Europe though. Same car, different name. But I think it also had the KA24DE powerplant... or did it get the SR20DET over in Europe and what not?
