What do you think about the electrical Tesla which is based on the Elise?

ansis am put uop new lotus picture!!!

dd

From a design standpoint, I really like it. It was designed by the team that did up the S2, Steve Crijins and Russell Carr. It's got excellent clean lines and cleans up some of the frontal clutter the S2 Elise has. The smooth sides are great too. It's the same general tiny size as the Elise, so it must look pretty sharp in the flesh too.

As an electric sportscar, it is a first I'd say. It goes, not for long distances, but it does go. I don't have very much experience with cars with exciting powerbands, so I don't know how I would personally like the flat power output from the electric motors.

AAAAAAAH Danny! I love it! Your wish is my command.

That yellow Spyder is in many small pieces now... :(

Watch this car run on Speed this summer in SCCA Pro Street. The 2ZZ is currently being built and will push 350-500hp depending on tune. There is almost nothing but the aluminum tub that is original. It will be one badass track car.

Whew! I was feeling a little too German for a second there...

PS that orange monster from last post isn't running FIA GT, he's in Australian GT. Car ran great at the Melbourne F1 race last weekend, but ran out of luck during the actual race.

Nice! I like how that grey exige has the plate "SEXIGE" on it......
 👍

Met the owner of this car yesterday at Donington Park. Really nice bloke. Says he's just bought a new engine and gearbox (Supercharged Honda Vtec) to replace the similar unit that's already in the car but isn't running well. He'll keep the other unit as a spare!

Also saw the orange 340R that i think you've posted before.

What a car, been in one once, since my boss owns one and he took me out for a drive in it. (just a shame i haven't driven one yet =/ (still taking lessions however short on cash)

Still i don't think they would be able to top one of these

Not cool man, not in this thread... :grumpy:

Cracka - He's pretty active on SELOC but I don't float around on those boards often. There's a second UK Exigist who got his car done up by the same guy who did Pesky's car in the same Orange, but I don't know if he's running Honda.

Here's some more Exige content to balance out the atrocity above.

Really nice collection of shots you've got there. I really like the green combination on a lot of the cars. But I can't help noticing how well that silver seems to photograph .

Pretty big update here.

What the hell? So its a photoshop work? Got daaaaaaaaammmmmmnnn...... 👍

As for the others...... words can't describe how awesome the new update is. Its like a sexy time explosion if you know what I mean.... ;)

Wow. Some very good shots in this new update.👍

I still really love that set of the green one a little ways up the page. Any chance I can get any of those in widescreen?

http://www.fotop.net/yushin/exigesc is as big as they get unfortunately. The one in your avatar is also from Hong Kong and also nearly perfect-looking with bronze TE37s. The green one takes the cake though, 265hp, perfect coloour, Just the right carbon fibre bits... Mine would looks exactly like that.

I saw an Esprit a couple weeks ago and finally an arctic silver Elise just a few days ago, so hopefully I'll be able to contribute to this thread with some of my own work soon.

Took these in juin 2005 at the Zolder track. I forgot I had these.

This being the eve of a new dawn for Lotus, their revolutionary, versatile, capable, benchmarking and incredibly dynamic chassis 111 will no longer be in use. Lotus will be unveiling their first Lotus VVH car next week. To honor the end of an era, tonight I went through literally thousands of Lotus photos and scrounged up some more greats. Many many of them are from the Lotus Cars flickr pool, and noted ones are from one of my favorite photogs skiddo.

Now the beautiful photography of skiddo. This car, done by the same paintshop that did Pesky's crazy orange Lotus, had a fresh pounding of amazing green. Check how underexposed the rest of the cars in direct sunlight is just so he could get the right colour on the paint:

And the thread's only Opel!

That thing looks fantastic. Crazy bright. There's no way you couldn't notice it.

And did I miss the article on Autoblog or something? I had no idea Lotus was retiring this car. That new chassis better be just as light or lighter.

Whoaaa I totally worded that one wrong. They're unveiling the new Ethos 2+2 next week which will use the new chassis, and I doubt any new models will be released on the 111 chassis. The Elise, Exige and 2-11 will continue to be produced for several years on the old aluminum. My mistake!
