yea, if you do that, youve gotta work on the suspension, and engine, but dont forget the brakes!

yup the 1.8 3tc came standard...

ohh drifting: suspension first, brakes, safety equipment(seat harness, roll cage, etc.), dont worry about the engine untill you're completely comfterable with your car, remember balance is more important than hp... the link i gave you should help a lot, if anybody can find parts for your corolla it'll be them

3tc is a crap engine, any toyota engine with the "C" code is crap. C = Californian pollution control which applies for any toyota car around the world. Exept C (1C or 2C) series engines which are diesels (which are crap anyway)

actually there's an ae86 in puerto rico with a turboed 3tc that runs mid 7's on the strip, let me see if i can find that link... but then again i could careless how fast a car goes in a straight line

yeah you can get alot of power out of almost any engine (need $$$$) but for you average person the 3tc is a bad start

Just bought a 78 Corolla deluxe and can't find any pictures online of it. Mine has vents on the hood and the previous owner hooked up some kind of intake that has a switch inside and it does improve gas mileage. I would like to know what I could do to make my car handle better and go faster.

Try at toyota forum, use google and then search for toyota corolla then goto the little section to corolla websites. Try 4age club or toyota nation.
