Id like to keep it to this Saturday for this week, just so people have a fulls weeks notice. Hopefully so I can get a better turn out, at the moment I am interested in what cars people will be bringing and if any are stupidly faster than the average.

I am 100% willing to change the date and time in furture though I just picked it at random tbh.

What days and times generally suit you guys? Going to be interesting finding a slot which fits most people and doesnt run into other peoples events..

Ok....np....best to stick to a regular night....sat night is usually fine....I was hoping to get my Lupo into action....which is oh so more competitive than my mini coming in nicely at 196BHP...
 
Yeah it was a fun race last week.. Im looking forward to next saturday. My golf was about 195hp and i think 1100kg but for all the other races ill be using the March G 99' with 180hp and about 750kg :)
 
I might be down for this. Thats what, 12:30 on the US West Coast? Put my name down, but I don't know what I have going on that day. I would love to make it.
 
I spent forever making the countdown timer so I wouldnt have to answer timezone questions, youll be asking me what time the train arrives if it departs at 3pm PST and crosses a timezone at 88mph :P

Only messing, I guess Ill make a timezone chart too lol not quite sure with out researching.
 
Heh, the question of time was more rhetorical. I know I'm GMT -8. If anything I was hoping someone would confirm that 8 - 8 is 0.

I am up for this if there's space? Apologies if I've missed this but do you have all aids off like TC & ABS? Think they're the only two I normally use but was about to try and start switching them off anyway. I emphasise the word try...
 
Hello, good call on asking about aids. The only one I generally allow is ABS.

Youll find TC really isnt needed on the 197hp cars lol.

Other than HP/weight restrictions, are there any other limits in terms of using race cars, wings (front/rear) downforce?

Currently there are no limits on race cars or aero. After a few more sessions I may tighten up the rules a bit, just need to gather some data from the races
 
I've lost count... how many folk do you have signed up for this so far? If there's space, I'll have a go - sounds like a laugh. I'm gathering clean racing only, yes? :)
 
I Just made a list of interested people and placed them into my first post. The count is around 8ish and I would be really chuffed if that many could make it on race day!

Still plenty of spaces guys

i really like the sound of this idea a lot, would love to join, if i can hopefully make it here in time,i think its best to keep the car we use a suprise :P
 
Without giving anything away, would someone be able to post an approximate lap time I should be aiming for - so I don't join the race and find that I'm completely outclassed?
 
Hello mate can you pop me in the interested people list please. I thought I'd already put my name down but clearly not. I promise this time I won't get engrossed with a film. It was "The other guys" and it was very funny but still no excuse for not turning up on race day.
 
excuse me 4 sounding thick. i m VERY new to this! are you saying we can race each other instead of just the games consol? and if so how does it work? please dont give me all the computer jargon. i can strip a race car but need help to turn on a comp lol

I'm with you Tezster! Pretty new to this so some rough benchmark times would be cool. Would be up for a group test session on Thursday night if anyone's interested?

Also, can you add (PSN: jasonpooley) to the interested list. Like me, Jason has only just joined GTP and is waiting for his 1st post to be ok'd by the moderators before he can post again!
 
We had a race last week the first 2 were well away and 3rd was well behind them....I was last ....got lapped...had a **** car and well... I'm still getting used to driving so...always expect quite a spread especially a group like this which if I gauge right is light-hearted fun clean racing...there are always little fun battles within races so just give it a go and have fun..
 
Well I'm not all that good but I'm putting down 1:26 on deep forest ATM in a car tuned for this race. But I just started tuning for it so I'm hoping there is some room for improvement.

Aydel, I used a CRX last week not sure what I will use this week. Sounds like I will need something much ligther to keep up with Micra_K11Squad! I wouldnt overly worry about not being competitive guys I am quite happy coming in last for example, I expect the grid to be off different stregnths and hopefully some passing!

adyrandle, yes there is a full online section and as long as your able to race "cleanly" (eg no ramming people off track etc) then you are welcome to join :)

Hello we did Rome last week, this week it will be "Deep Forest Race way" It is not too late I will put you down ID_racing.

No doubt we will have a bunch of no shows through out the weeks so more people are off course welcome.
