I will send you both PSN requests tomorrow. RM cars will be allowed for this week till we see how they compare to the rest of the grid :)

Kambses, your aiming for as close to 197hp as you can get and as near to 700kg as you can get (no lower). There are tons of options the lupo gti seems to be popular as you get it for free early in the game.

If your new to the game please remember this is for clean drivers, cheers

Sounds like fun, I am pretty sure I will be able to make Saturday night as I am taking the mrs away Sunday so I have some "partner performance points" in the bank waiting to be spent! :)

I've only just got my wheel and am still working at getting near my DS3 times with it but if I am not competitive I will at least be clean. :)

PSN: ted_wears_a_hat

PS joined 197bhp group as well.

"partner performance points"! Awesome! Spend those wisely my friend ;) PSN request coming your way later

Okay seems like we got 19, more than I had expected! The lobby holds 16 though I imagine a few wont turn up so it should be fine :) Will be first come first served though guys no speical treatment or anything like that.

Hi please add me aswell. psn id TheGingerSkwirul
Only done a couple of online races so far and been last in all of them but I'll keep trying.

Cheers.

Thanks asdfg. Looking forward to it. 👍

What cars is everyone planning on bringing?

I might bring one of my Berlinette RS Coupés (I think it fits the HP regs) as I love the way it drives but now I have the wheel I am enjoying cockpit view so much I may have to pick up a premium model. I'm thinking an Elise would be too much of the obvious choice though....

Hmmm, car searching after work then!

Aydel, I used a CRX last week not sure what I will use this week. Sounds like I will need something much ligther to keep up with Micra_K11Squad! I wouldnt overly worry about not being competitive guys I am quite happy coming in last for example, I expect the grid to be off different stregnths and hopefully some passing!

Melluish_F1, your added!

adyrandle, yes there is a full online section and as long as your able to race "cleanly" (eg no ramming people off track etc) then you are welcome to join :)

Hey dont forget me dude.

Sorry The_Boyce thanks for the PSN request. I bought that exact car today. 196/197hp without a oil change... lol 1000kg unmodded its on my to-try list. I wonder how it compares to the elise.

On a different note, given it is DFR... concrete section to the left of the right, left right into the first [Michelin] tunnel.... in or out of bounds?

I don't use it in A-Spec but notice a lot of the online guys do as it doesn't give a penalty. I reckon it has to be worth a few tenths if not more per lap. :)

I use a wheel DFGT.

I too was wondering about the concrete section. What are peoples thoughts? I reckon that if there is no penalty, then there is no way of enforcing it and everyone should use it. That way everyone has the same advantage. Personally I've been practicing without using it but I reckon you could take the bumpy corner before a heck of a lot quicker and approach the hairpin a lot quicker as the concrete run off makes it two rights instead of a right left right.

Also what times are people putting down now. I'm thinking of using the same Copen I used before but with all this talk of Lotus, Berlinette and Speedsters I'm worried I may be entirely outclassed. I matched the last time that was mentioned (1:26 - I think it was) and was just wondering if that still stood as a competitive time.

DFGT is a great wheel but if i'm totally honest if i'm doing an enduro race say 2 hours plus, I do tend to use the joypad.

Hi I'm interested. I just got a G27 and wanting to find some great racing groups. My psn is TRACT10N.

Keep the info coming on if you are a wheel or pad user guys :)

Keep in mind there is now a 300mb patch for GT5 which must be downloaded before you can join us on saturday. You will be promted to download + install it then next time you open up GT5. Please remember to leave time for this to complete!

Would it be a good idea to put up a list of race venues and dates for future reference or do we just play it week by week?

Mmm still wondering what to do, considering doing some smaller races each week over a few different tracks?

Also considering having steering wheel people race together and controllers together...

Also with todays gt5 update, performence points are a better route than HP... perhaps a new club :P

Ah thoughts

Are any of the race restrictions going to change in light of the new update? I'm assuming we're allowed to use the weight ballast and HP limiter?

I think the performance points won't work I have a scooby @ 345bhp in at 400pp and a 180bhp spoon fit in at 400pp . I don't think it would be much of a match to race them .

Try it you may be surprised. I had a few bizzare matchups today with a 400PP limit. I tried my RM subaru and too get it under 400PP it had to be on comfort softs, anything I gained on the straights was well and truely lost on the corners!

But yes we must keep in mind that that wouldnt make for a very close race and indeed could lead to many messy situations.

I wish we could have a PP + a min/max weight

I dont have any times to report for myself, going to get some laps in soon :)

Sorry for this race to confirm id like no nutty entries, I will not be using PP restrictions for this race but rather the "Old" HP + weight restrictions.

Re: "concrete section" + cutting.

NO CUTTING PLEASE. 2 wheels on track at least.

Also with this new bhp adjustor you can take a 400bhp vehicle down to 197bhp , but the lower power vehicles tend to have between 12-25kg torque but the more powerful vehicles have 30+ , if people are bringing these new vehicles to the table it's not gonna be much fun. I think it should be limited also Asdfg. Just a though I'm more than happy to come last but need to get my excuses out first . :)
