Unlucky, that can't be good for your times.

I've not actually had time to try the race yet.

I've been there done that, did a lap with my BMW M5 at Grand Valley, running with 704 Bhp with 150Kg ballast. I did'nt set up any of the gears or suspension, although it has the best parts.

BMW M5 - Grand Valley (first warm up lap) - 1'49.348

I actually started this tournament with a ds1, but i think i shud try my dfp, maybe il be faster, but i doubt it.

george u shud try not doing weight reduction and ridigity, u wont have to use so much ballast, my m5 got a 140.6 at grand valley

The weight reduction can be a good thing, because you can set the ballast to the front or rear of the car, alter it's characteristics. It really depends on your car, how good the weight distribution is as is, and what track your on. But as you know, the weight reduction is irrevesible so doing it for one race in the middle of the series will mean buying and tuning a new car for the next race along.

Got my time down to a 1'12.77x, getting closer, this just isnt my kind of track.

What controler is everyone using? Im using analog sticks on my DS1.
You as well? Same deal as DUNDA, my DS2 started schitzing out, I took it apart and it consequently broke into many pieces :dunce:.

lol, i took it apart and broke the welds connecting the analogs, i just wish that the ds2 was made as strong the ds1, ive had my ds1 since the week of the release of the ps1

I need to set my M5 up, I just got a 1'47.145 as it was before.

Slightly different deal here, I smashed my DS2 to bits when I couldnt beat Super Buu on DBZ: Budokai 3 :D That was about two weeks ago. I dont normally do that kind of thing, I was just having a bad day.

EDIT: I was gonna wait until the Grand Valley round came before practicing for it, but seeing as how you guys have already started i'll give it a go myself tonite.

Yeah, aren't you guys just getting a tad rushing, here? I mean, yeah, I could throw down a prelim really quick I guess. Grand Valley is one of my favourite courses; a truly great drifting venue, with all the wiiiiiide track and the gradual corners. 👍

Be back in a bit with some completed testing, I suppose.

Cheers,
Jetboy

Edit/ Driver's Notes: Finished a two-lap shakedown really quick with my SSR5 setup still on it (The SLR). Very prevalent to understeer, but pulled a respectable 1'41.455. DUNDA will have me on downforce and cornering, but I'm more than willing to bet I'm toasting him on the straights if I'm only a second off him...

I did the race again today, I think I do alot better when I do 15 laps and
not 10:dunce:. Anyways I think I will try one more time before I send in my time.

for round 5 and 6 i will be swapping my csl for the m5. the difference at test course is just too big.
i have already run them and will be submitting this week since i'll be off to france for 3 weeks.
wonder what you guys will be doing in terms of car choice?
times can be found in my holiday thread.

LOL yeah we've now got a gazillion bloody BMWs hanging around the track....
Right, you've still got a while to get your tiems in yet, I'll check back either later tonight or tomorrow to confirm the results,
Thanks,
Danisfast

Is it too late for me to change to a RX7? The Corvette isnt as fast as I thought it would be (my fault for picking it without doing any testing first :D)

Bloody hell, it's the truth mate. Makes me have mixed feeling picking a Mercedes... Something of individuality and arrogance. :D

Gotta have the Jag cause she's closer to my bloodlines. ;)

Getting down to it, this is one great championchip, but we've reached pretty well the cream of the 2.3 to say. I say next time (and there better be one. :trouble:.) we try for some new random number. Like 3.8 sounds cool.

Time submitted. That time was for the NSX by the way Dan.

I say next time (and there better be one. .)
If there is a next time, for the safety of my DS1, I call for a ban of all Street Circuits  or atleast a gap between them :)

How about 3.125;), anyways I didn't get to doing the again today, I was
making hybrids in GT2 all day today:).

Well my time went in today and it's past midnight GMT, I'm looking forwards to seeing thoes race results which I presume will go up tomorrow, I hit the 1'10's in the race, twice, I knew the car could do it but I got got a bit lucky in the first tunnel a few laps and the car seemed to grip better, just the angle I entered the tunnel in, the car feels the slightest differences in angle and speed with soetims big differences in result.

Yeah sorry guys, right gimme about an hour and the times will be up.

PS Who knows about another season eh??? I've got plans in the works, but definitely not for a while because there are so many other tourney's kicking off atm. So maybe a championship next year...I hope to see you guys there...right, back to the time classifications...

Bloody 'ell Dan, what are you doing up at 3AM?

But, anyay, hope to see them up soon. ;)

Cheers,
Jetboy

Heh, I thought it was 3 in the ... Why is it I automatically thought you lived in Britain?

Cheers,

Well done everyone who raced and well done to DUNDA for getting the win 👍 I had a bad race this time around at SSR5, but i'm not going let you guys have it so easy for this round at Grand Valley!

Damn, not bad... 5th and 6th. Can't argue some consistancy... Nice showing for DUNDA.

i'd be in depending on other olr events i'd be doing. any tournament involving car choice is very attractive to me. a few remarks:

- a minimum of 20 contestants
- teams are great for comparing car settings
- gt mode NOT arcade
- road cars not race cars
- ptw's between 2.5 and 3.5
- a bit more races, like 10
- NO city tracks if you please

well that's my $0.02

at last, poll position. you guys have no idea how hard i pushed for poll, suprizingly enough my csl did better than i expected, even though it had a serious lack of attention.
