How did you manage an average lap time of over 1 whole second faster than your best qualifying time? That's some driving. Maybe you could send me some replays sometime. You know let me learn some of thoes lines you pull out in the races, I find it fascinating when somoen's average lap over a race is faster than their qualifying lap. Like i said last time, not impossible, but how many people can do it race in, race out. Only the really fast who deliberately don't run as fast as they can in qualifying.

live4speed, ur really getting worked up arent u, wel my times are due to changing my camber and toe settings, but thank god i saved my replay. i wil post the replay and a picture as proof, im sure that should satisfy you
 
It's like I said, not impossible and I haven't said you haven't done it that fast, it's just that this has been the case in other races too, your average lap time has been faster than your qualifying time. Just pointing out that it wouldn't be hard for somone to jump to that conclusion, be it myself or anyone else. I'm not asking for any replays or anything for proof either, I would however be more than interested in a replay file so I could see your lines and learn from them.
 
I just got done with a little test, myself... I switched my cars output unit from horsepower to kilowatts, and....806 hp equates to only 600 kW. For the same basic amount of weight in my SLR as DUNDA's M5, while his is generating some 761kW(?) I believe I read.

For the same weight, kilograms, I'm being shortened out here by the upwards of 200 hp. 👎:confused:


DUNDA, what's going on here? Is this why you kill us?

Hang on, Jetboys is spot on, I've converted that power from killowatts to bhp and that M5 has 1020bhp, and a bhp/kg power to weight of 1.72bhp per kg. I could add almost 50% power to my car in KW to get a 2.3 rating on my power to weight.

The race rules STATE.

4. The minimum power-to-weight ratio in this tournament is 2.300 bhp/kg. At no point during any racing season can your car be under the TWO-POINT-THREE limit. A factor that, however slightly, does affect power is the oil change ability on Gran Turismo 4. In the even that your car does slip under the TWO-POINT-THREE limit, simply add a big enough ballast to compensate. Alternatively, you can drop the power to comply with the championship rules. If you do change any settings, which affects power or weight, you MUST let us know by either directly informing us or simply including it with a submission.

None of thoes points are valid.
 
Actually Im using hp and my car is running the original weight (no weight reduction) with a ballast, but this is just one of my setups, i have a minimum weight, medium weight and a heavy weight setup and obviously their respective power outputs. For ss5 I ran 656hp, not sure about the parts, but I know I didnt do an oil change.

BTW. someone already pointed out that flaw in the first round.

so lets not jump to conclusions. 761bhp means his car has to weigh at least 1750kg.

I'd still be quite interested to see Dunda's replay though considering he was racing a lot faster than he qualified.
 
I'm not calling foul anywhere, but I'd like someone to verify via replay (I can't myself, dial-up speed), or a parts list of all the things on your M5 or something, that's just pretty incredible to pull something that nuts and to only be a Division 2 driver.

@ daan: That figure I pulled from the Vehicle Registration thread. If it's false, could it please be changed?

Your two cars in the registration thread are both rated in kw, by you DUNDA. I wouldn't jump to conclusions if it said bhp, but that replay is now a must. I do apolgise for the screw up if your being honest, which I would like you to be since it'd be a shame to totally screw up the championship and the tables like that. But see here.

Weight - 1751kg

Car #13: M3 GTR -DB- DUNDA
Power - 622kw
Weight - 1431kg

BMW M5 - 3'18.794
power - 761kw
weight - 1751kg (no weight reduction with a 36kg ballast)
power to weight ratio - 2.301
(top speed= 370kmh/231mph)

BMW M3 gtr (No times yet)
power - 622kw
weight - 1431kg (no weight reduction with a 81kg ballast)
power to weight ratio - 2.300

That's all rated in Kw, by you, and that's why the conclusion has been drawn.
 
lol, Il post my replay as proof, its in pal format, but Im sure that someone here will be able to confirm, as well as pictures of my hotlap time and pics of my car stats in my garage and btw, I only registered for wrs about 3 months ago, and I got 1 gold and 2 silvers out of the three races I did do,

I got 1 question though, why do I feel like Im a target of a witch hunt.
 
The 761 Kw must a typo. If that was 761Kw, then it would be 1020bhp (as L4S pointed out) which the M5 can't do.

As has been said, its strange that every lap in the race must have been done quicker than the time you qualified in.
 
Because your good ;).

No really, get the replay up, if it pans out you'll never get asked again. You have to admit, having your figures posted as Kw can mess things up quite a bit. As I said, if it's a geniune mistake, because you may normally use Kw and have typed Kw instead of Bhp by mistake, or whatever, then you will have my apologies and respect for some fantastic times so far in this championship.
 
that must be my worst typo ever, but thanks for showing that the m5 cant have more than 1000bhp, i will change it as soon as i get to my pc, since im on my mobile, and im sure im not the only one listed with kw.

Well, it didn't look exactly good that you won by such a large margin to begin with, and this whole kilowatt finding didn't help your argument much, or when you were talking about going some 270+ in that M5...

As Jetboys said, at least you seem cool with this and understand it, which is a good thing 👍. I'm pretty sure, especially after Daan's comment that it was just a typo, it's just that really and that it's happening to be the guy that's winning the series just has a way of making people paranoid especially if they don't know them and I'd never met you before this asI'm sure other members hadn't either. So let's get it sorted asap and you can show me how to drive.
 
Take the fact that we're asking for proof as a compliment. It means you're fast. I've never been asked for proof in my life!

guess u guys didnt check the last page for the hong kong race, georges average race time was 2 seconds faster than his qualifying time, i didnt see anyone go on a witch hunt there, even though the gap between 1st and 2nd was almost double that what it was at ss5, i actually got slammed for bringing it up. I just dont know why you guys are complaing, ITS MY FIRST POLE, in a race or qual.

I did, I said it didn't sound right and might be a typo, but I also pointed out that you were over on average as well. Coincidentally, he's the other member who's power is listed as Kw in the registration thread.

Like daan said, don't feel bad about it, it meerly means your good, combined with the fact that we don't really know you, and you screwed up your power figures with units that would put you way over the allowed limit, which is something that's only just been noticed along with Georges. But for the love of god, don't pull a U turn and start getting all up tight about it, you've been pretty understanding so far, but don't go into a cage and lock it because that's not a good way to prove your really that good.

Like I said, get the replay up and you have my respect and my apologies, don't and what do you expect me to do.

lol, maybe i should start getting worked up ;-), luckily i have my replays, even got the hotlap from hongkong, which is a second faster than my qualifying time.

I have decided to start using my new car at Grand Valley, so rolls out the monster:trouble:.
My new car is the Nissan R390 GT1 Road Car(yeah I know someone else is using it
but it's only thing faster than my Suzuki). I hope to rank a little higher with this car.
 
Great time Jetboys, whats your top speed before breaking for turn 1, and also as you go across the star/finish line?

BTW Jetboys, u getting close, but heres my time 1:37.5 with room for improvement.
 
It's no harder to post up the race file than it is to post up a hot lap. You have a PAL game right.
