im glad you asked Jav, i was going to put as post up asking how it works and whats that best setting

Im hoping for a full day/night cycle and the race is 4 hours. you have a choice between 1 and 60, any ideas?

edit: a few sums and i came up with the progression setting on 6, that would allow for a full day/night cycle in 4 hours

24 hours in day

60 minutes in one hour

24 x 60 = 1440

4 hour race means 4 x 60 = 240 minutes

so

1440 minutes devide 240 minutes = 6

Yup 6 is the setting for a full 24hr cycle trough the lenght of 4 hours in the real world. The time progression setting is just a second multiplier. For example a setting of 1 will translate to a 1:1 ratio, 1 second for every second in real life. A setting of 2 would be 1:2, meaning for every second in real life 2 seconds will pass in the game, so on and so on. So if you do the math the exact number we need to use is 6.

Your top of the reserve list, keep an eye out incase someone drops out

Two days until race time! Has everyone got their car? Im suspecting that the new OCD will mean that a few last minutes changes will be made

Hey Mikeem50,

please can you change my car? I tried but... The Zonda is too crazy :nervous: (but very fast I have to say) to handle for 4 hours!!!! :banghead:

I will rather go for a:

Pescarolo C60 Hybride - Judd Race car '05 :dopey:

thanks

so.... we're gonna do almost 60-64 laps? :nervous: :scared:

I am going to have to withdraw from the race. Hopefully a reserve driver can fill my spot.

I'm going to have to withdraw too. Yesterday i did a 30 lap race at Lemans and i was spent tugging at the wheel for 30 laps. I dont think i could do double that distance.

Loskey I'll bring the same question I asked for the Nurburg enduro, if we need to take a break, do we pit and pause or do we pause and let the car roll?
With the high speed nature of the track and the retarded driving of the autopilot I'd say pit and pause...

Definatly pit and pause. With the heavy damage on we need to minimize slow moving traffic on track

Plus you wont win a 4 hour race on the first lap...gotta get into the endurance mentality.

mitch is right. Its a long race. Not only do you have to be fast and clean but also have a good strategy regarding pitstops. I cant wait!

Something came up I have to do in the middle of the day. It's my only day off here in Vegas. The race would've started for me around 1pm and I need to be somewhere around 2 that's quite important so I'll have to step out.
I also have commitments to WSGTC and I'll be joining the pre-season races there around 3 when I'm back. Too hard to juggle two sessions in one day.

Sorry I had to do it on late notice but I really can't wait to hear how the race went!

i did a time zone conversion and i have this race starting at 3:00 PM eastern time in the US. can anyone confirm? thanks

I had put 1:00pm Central Time in my calendar, but I think that's because I wanted prep time.... When is the room going to be open?

the room will be open at 7.30 british summer time for final testing and qualifying.

Looks like a lot of fun!!!!

Wishing I had the time. Be doing preseason with another league.

There's space for you Owens, this is a one off event to celebrate the real Le Mans 24. Not too be missed!

damn, just saw the clock, My time table is wayyy off. Didn't realize it's till 15 before practice.

room opens in 10mins (ish) then 90 mins of practice or qualifying or in my case eating before the green light
