It's too ... busy. Looks like Honda just attached a bunch of aerodynamic aids all over the car and hoped for the best, so we now have a 300km/h jumble sale.
BlakeUh, Button got a 1.13, and the average fastest lap in Barcelona tests was low 1.15s and medhigh 1.14s
Oh boy…F1Racing.netKimi Raikkonen says that McLaren has problems with Mercedes' new V8 engine and there is a lot of work for the car manufacturer to do before the start of the 2006 season. Raikkonen was only twelfth fastest in the team's 2006 car when he returned to the cockpit on Thursday.
"I wasn't expecting anything before I came, and I knew we have issues with certain things, but we're going to get there and there will be some improvement," Raikkonen told Autosport.
"The biggest part of the problem is the engine, but things are happening and in the coming weeks we'll improve it," he added. "They (Mercedes) are not where they should be and need to improve. On the engine side we've got a lot of work to do."
Hello, sexy (the car, not you ... just making that clear ...).GTChamp2003
Yeah, if he does not thrash Nico, and put in consistantly good drives, his reputation will be damaged, probably, beyond repair.VashTheStampedeI pretty much agree. Though I could see the Cosworth being one of the best engines the entire year. But I don't really know if either of Williams drivers has what it takes to consistently threatening for top spots and/or wins. I know a lot of people speak highly of Mark Webber, but it has been that way every year for the past three years and nothing out of him at all really.
F1Racing.netMark Webber had a difficult season last year. He joined Williams expecting to be able to go for podium positions and maybe even his very first race win. The Williams team praised Webber's qualities and will do the best they can to give the Australian a better car in 2006.
"He'd come to a team where he'd expected to have the opportunity to win and he was struggling as hard as he could and not even able to see the lowest points position," said Patrick Head.
"He certainly was quite disillusioned with his season at that time but we sat down here and had a good chat with him and he had a few things out with us."
Team founder Frank Williams praised Webber's speed. "His qualifying laps in the car we had last year were truly remarkable," said Williams. "He's a very quick and skilful driver. We need to give him better equipment than last year."
