Yeah I was about to say it looks like a Platypus's (sp) beak.

So, Ferrari tomorrow, should be good, and then Honda.
:)

For about the 8th time, no, I believe the orange livery is just for testing purposes only, I'm pretty sure they will revert to the black and silver come Bahrain..

That new McMerc is probably the most beautiful F1 car I've ever seen. It beats the 05 Toyota....wow. They are still screwed for 06.

I hope this nose will pass the crash test, since it looks too fragile to me (the 2004(?) nose didn't pass the first test if I remember correctly).

The McLaren-Mercedes MP4-21

Honestly, that is the most ugliest nose i have ever seen.

Yes, it may be ugly. Though I don't think its that bad, but all that does not really matter either, as long as it works in the way it was designed to.

Yeah, the rear and sides of the car are beautifuly sculpted. I’m really loving the rear wing!

It is, ignoring the nose, quite a stunner. But, yeah, reliability will screw them out of a championship for the 4th year running (2004 is very debatable, but reliability really was that bad).

they took the renault style nose to a new level.

question about chassis;

because the engines are smaller and the sidepods are being reduced, you notice the flat, black (i guess) bottom. is there specific rules that say you cant really develope that portion of the car aerodynamically or do the teams just leave 'em pretty much flat because that's about as good as it's gonna' get?

Technical Regulations
No part having aerodynamic influence and no part of the bodywork, with exception of the skid block in 3.13 above, may under any circumstances be located below the reference plane.

It used to be legal, look back at the cars of the 70's and early 80's that had skirts or were almost entirely dependent on underbody aerodynamics, such as the Lotus 87.

I dont see what you guys problem is... Just take it down to the local pub and get a few pints in ya... You'll be in love with her in no time!

could the first post of this thread be updated to have all the info/pics?
Yes, I'll format the first post and make it all neat in the morning. You can wait 15 hours, right?

The name 248 F1 comes from the fact that the car is now funning a 2.4 litre V8 engine.

Has any other car had the rear wing cut like that before? I've never noticed it if they have...
