Those mirrors must be urethane or something. Lol.

Not a bad race in all ,Fisi deserves the victory and well done to Button to hold out for 3rd:D

Big bummer about Rosberg though:(

And the final stats of the race...

Great race for Renault. The Ferraris were definitely hurt by their grid positions. Nothing really stands out from this race, well other than the big kablamo engine explosions.

How did Felipe keep keep ahead of MS? What about ze orders?

Anyways; Go Renault!

& wish ide caught what happened to Nico, sounds like the sort of stuff Kimi was spooked w/, hope Williams sort something out before it dooms the season.

Cheers, C.

I had a feeling Nico pushed a bit too hard in Bahrain, worst fears realised. Didn't expect Marks to blow up though since he was coasting in Bahrain. The race was exciting though, Fisi deserved the win and reminded me of how Alonso drives in a way. Fisi was quick when he had to be today and defensive and conservative when it was required.

My only question is, if Fernando suffered no problems with the fuel issue during qualifying, would he have won? Just another one of those what-ifs.

Bring on Melbourne.

Oh and credit to JV for 2 solid races in the BMW. His engine failed in Bahrain and well he drove a solid and strong race in the car he was given today and managed to score some points. Not a fan of his but credit belongs to him.

Did you guys just see these ignorant bastards on that NASCAR crap on Speed?

I'm going to write speed a nasty ****ing letter. Those ASSHOLES! They kept mocking all the names all the way down to MS, and then they just went from 5th to 17th with Scott Speed. Afterwards, the idiot announcer started rubbing his head and going "Mmmm.....I predict Fissifella......fiiissssiiiifeeeelllaaaaaa."

Retard. I would be SOOOO pissed off if I didn't already see it live.

Now it's time for that letter. All the other americans here should write too. Screw ignorant nascar bastards.

Yes, NASCAR people are ignorant. Even if you write them a letter, they are going to be able to understand it, as they can't read. But I didn't see the stuff on SPEED.

Fairly decent race 👍

Good to see Fisi winning but kind of puts his Good-start bad-end, Bad-start good-end to the season theory down the pan.

Not ALL NASCAR fans are like that, just the ones that give the rest a bad name. Calm down.

I felt sick to my stomach when Raikkonen was knocked out. Why can't the poor guy get a damn break?! :(

Giancarlo DID deserve this win, though, especially after suffering a personal tragedy like that.

Just saw the replay on Speed. Did you see the wings on that Ferrari? I saw a piece of the front wing open away from the nose cone as the speed increased, and the back wing was all wobbly. I wonder if the FIA will penalise them on this?

Then again, they might have to penalise Renault for their wobbly mirrors as well.

Yeah, there's been a storm of controversy over that. Several of the other teams have complained about it.

The ITV coverage gave the full story on it :sly:

They've been asked to remove them by Australia or face an official ruling on it.

It sounds like the NASCAR fellas read all those "Nascar blows my left nut!" emails and posts from that stupid "Petition Speed Channel" petition.

I'm not ripping NASCAR, I'm ripping those announcers for being unprofessional.

Of course, my email wasn't like "F you guys! blah!" But, you have to admit that that kind of behavior worsens America's and Speed's image for those viewing.

I never insinuated you were ripping NASCAR. I'm saying, why be shocked they're resorting this way to all the negative crap said about NASCAR. Unprofessional, yes, from a respect-your-fellow-racer point of view. But, entertaining from a NASCAR and majority NASCAR crowd poing of view. These guys often rip on people for the stupidest things to be "entertaining" so, again, I'm not shocked they said this.

As announcers and racing sports enthusiasts, yes, I can see the argument, there. But then, Speed doesn't care what F1 fans think. They are not the majority of Speed viewers. To Rupert Murdock, only the majority matters, because that's where the money is.

I say, let'm have their fun, and just move on.

Is this having to do with Ferrari's wings or Renaults shaking mirrors? Or both?

McLaren has wobbly mirrors, too. But I don't think as big an issue as having moveable aerowings. Funny thing is... who places the camera in the cars? The teams?
Seems dumb to place a camera in a spot that obviously shows off their illegal wing. :)

The race was alright. Didn't have the same kind of action as Bahrain. The engine failures were pretty cool, though. There was a shot of Rosberg's engine blowing up with all the smoke travelling across the track. Then out of NOWHERE a midland cars pops into view from the thick smoke.

I'm still kind of bumbed about the fuel level rules of qualifying. You still can't tell who's really the quickest in the final session because everyone is on different fuel levels. I mean... if Alonso, Kimi, JPM, and Fisi all had the same fuel levels, would Fisi still have grabbed pole?

Can someone tell me how Alonso jumped off the line like that with so much fuel? That was incredible.

It was an ok race, not much drama after the first lap (Well done Klien, good job) it was a shame both Williams decided to go boom, they could have done very well. Button's clutch actually worked this time but the Honda is a wee bit off the pace of the Renault. Villenurve and RS put in some good drivers to get 7th and 8th, Massa had a clean race too.

Perfect drive for Fisichella though, didn't put a single foot wrong all weekend. 👍👍

And a special mention for Super Aguri who for some of the race were actually racing ahead of the Midlands and a STR. Thats pretty darn good progress.

Meh, I was too tired to watch this. I even set up my cell phone to wake me up at 4AM, but when it rang I gave it to my GF and said "answer your damn phone", and I went back to sleep.

Good to see Ferrari didn't order Felipe to let MS pass him. 👍
