The turbo version put out 175hp. If I had the money, I buy it. But then again, I would beat the hell out of it. Drovingit like a little go-kart everywhere I go....:D

Looks.......uh...........THE SAME! Are the designers being paid to "re-make" the same car over and over again? The speedo looks like it was designed for someone who is almost blind, or they had some extra "flava flav clocks" around and decided to put on in a car.

I wonder why they moved from supercharger to turbocharger? Better fuel economy and slightly more power perhaps? Anyway, never liked it and still don't like it so it doesn't make much difference to me.

Gosh. Nice pic of the original, harry. 👍 Makes the new one look so lame in comparison. Don't get me wrong, I still think even the new ones are neat looking cars.

I like the updated interior a lot, but that speedo in the center looks huge compared to it's predecessor. Maybe thats my eyes playing tricks, but oh well, it is still a pretty awesome car!

(Now if they can just get a MINI dealer here in Grand Rapids...)

Looks a lot better than I thought it would. Still snouty, but not horribly so.

My opinion of the new Mini usually comes down to color: the light blue here, with the way it contrasts with the headlights, looks distinctly feminine (a girl's car). A red Cooper S (even with a white roof & stripes) never fails to look masculine (not butch, but at least it's a guy's car). The original, 1959-era Mini always looks genderless -- neither one nor the other, and acceptable to both (well, so long as it's not pink).

People said whatever they wanted about (1) the Mini not being so Mini anymore, and (2) how BMW's making mad money off of this new-age Mini. It was one of my newer cars I'd look into if I had the money. I don't have a lot of friends that I'd want to carry around Houston a lot. This is more like a "for me" car. It's also nice that BMW listened to many of us in not milking the Mini Cooper like GM is doing to the Hummer. I'm sick of every Hummer that isn't the H1. I'm NOT sick of the Mini. Smaller cars can still be highly respectable in America even if we resent them completely. It's a nice car that still retains its quirky image and completely fun appearance. They are also quite comfortable for small cars. Trust me. I sat in a few at some Houston Auto Shows including the 2006 show. I think it's very roomy to fit my 6'0" mostly skinny frame. I had more room in this car than I did the Hummer H1 (before it was locked up so that idiots don't try to make asses out of themselves with the Hummer).

Got to give it some love. And I'm bringing 100% approval of this car. The Minis of the past and present may end up being the greatest small car of all time. If it isn't already, that is...

Eh, this one looks a bit too rounded and "googly eyed."

I don't know why, but the previous generation looked lower slung, and sportier. Guess I'll have to see it in person.
