What an entertaining race and 6 Ferrari engined car were out of the race:scared:
 
I just came back from the city...again and I think I heard Hamilton's F1 racing by one of the last corners. It surely sounded awesome.

More like the lollipop man pulled out prematurely. Rubens shouldn't have pitted at the time anyway, and further should be disqualified for leaving under the red light. Was nice to see the Honda have some pace, though.

Massa made a poor judgement error with DC at turn 1. DC's car went to bits. Massa stayed on track for a bit, but I believe stopped with a suspension failure.

Oh how I love DC, Massa wouldn't stand a hope in hell.
 
I was thrilled to see the Spaniard hold off a McLaren with his underwhelming Renault and make 8 posltion (?) improvement. I'm happy for Nick & Nico, Massa your contract is getting shorter, Iceman 'defrosted'. This race prime example why I don't follow rookies.
 
I recorded the race and will have to watch after work, but curiosity got the better of me and I checked the results......

It was entertaining to se Kimi make so many errors, then finally retire with engine problems. A little annoyed about Webbers early retirement… though with his luck in the past few years, it’s definitely something I’m use to.
Despite that, I’m pretty happy with the results, and it’s great to see Williams finally finish a race and place a spot on the podium.

Oh, poor Ferrari :) :lol:
 
Poor Ferrari? Why, they deserve that kind of treatment! :D
 
And the awards for the idiots of the race go to : Ross Brawn and Honda Racing.

Why? They simply destroyed Rubens race.

Not only they called him to the Pits, when the Pits were close, the lollipop man wanted to kill someone, and they let him go with the red lights on.

The man did a fantastic race, very consistent, would finish 3rd and go to the podium after a long time. But Ross Brawn was there to screw his race one more time.

At least he managed to score 3 points.

Still i don't think that FIA won't forget and will probably disqualify him.

Saddest moment of the race? Sebastian Bourdais engine failure when he was 4th on his first even GP.

his car was going to stop on track , and Ross Brawn had nothing to do with strategy , he said that he would not interfere today and just watch how the team works (according to ITV commentators )
 
I only saw one mistake by Kimi. He did a great job making up 7 positions at the start and after a great bit of driving he actually found himself in 3rd place. He should have pitted when the pits were opened with the safety car out, but that may have been the teams fault, and not his. Then, the only mistake I saw was trying that pass with cold tires.

There were so many disappointments that I think I will stick with the positives:
Hamilton had an easy race, or at least he made it look easy.
Great Job by Nico and Nick. Its nice to see someone from a team other than McLaren or Ferrari on the podium.
Even though I really got tired of his childish attitude last year, Alonso is a great driver and showed that today.
Nakajima... did he do a good bit of driving or just have a great bit of luck? I'll give him the benefit of the doubt for now.
Thankfully Bourdais got his 2 points. Must be disappointing to come so close to scoring more, but with more reliable equipment I think we could see some great racing from him.

I think Alonso's driving was bit clumsy , when he was pushing he seemed to go wide alot , I think he was lucky today that he didn't spin out at somepoint in the same way Kimi did

Nakajima , ruined Kubica's race today so no he didn't do a good bit of driving :grumpy:

The rule is stupid to begin with and we can all thank FIA for that; so yes they have no choice but to come in for fuel.

RB's DQ should be called much earlier.

That was the one I was talking about. Did he drop the tire onto the grass because the tires were still cold from the SC? Either way, that was a stupid mistake.

I don't think it's so much a stupid rule; if they let Honda through, everyone would pit during a safety car and pass it off as "it was either pit or retire". The teams should be smart enough to factor things like safety cars into their pit strategies.
 
what a mess.. I really dont know how the write about the race.

So 6 cars finish the race and 1 got disq. So actually 5 cars ended?!
Ferraris are out and its pretty rare i think. Both got problems in their cars.
Räikkönen drived pretty good i think. Was thirth one time but make 2 mistakes after it..
and then the engine give up for her.. Massa killed the coulthard and then killed himself.
Hamilton win the race pretty easyle and nice to see new faces in the top3..
Kovalainen would be second BUT that safety car destroyed hes race. All the others
goed to pit before the safety car expect kovalainen.. and the rest you gonna know yourself :S
 
Great way to start the season! Some good action, some nice incidents, looking forward to Sepang.

And Singapore after seeing that insane tunnel chicane..
 
I have to say, I'm liking this whole no traction control deal. Last year it was fairly bland as the drivers simply pointed the car in the direction they wanted it to go, floored the accelerator and let the electronics do the work. Now it's so much more exciting as we're seeing the drivers actually driving the cars.

And what's this chicane-tunnel thing in Singapore? It sounds fairly self-explanatory, but do you have a link or video so I can see for myself?
