I wonder how much fuel Kubica has compared to Hamilton. If it's anywhere close, then BMW should be looking good for the rest of the season.

Bourdais got his ass handed to him by Vettel

they did match the pace in Q1 and Q2
Q3 is where it counts, though. Once you leave your pit bay, you're under parc ferme condiitons. You can refuel in the gap between Q2 and Q3, but you have to start the race with whatever is left in your tank at the end of Q3. That's why Massa abandoned his final lap: because he wasn't on the pace and to continue would simply use up fuel needlessly.

Well said, I agree with that.

Too bad for Kimi, the best hope for him is to get a few points. I hate to say it but looks LewHam had it half way in the bag already. Lets see what Kubica can do about it.

Good performance by BMW, expect to see them up front more this year.

personally i'm ultra disappointed with the williams, been waiting for 10 years for them to get back to the top, is frank getting too old for this?

Being a ferrari fan I'm not expecting much, so Kubica to pwn hamilton on turn 1.

(im going to regret saying that:banghead:

And the Acura Pre-Race show with full coverage by Speed begins.

Hardy-har, we get plenty of pre-race coverage here, don't you think?

Anyway, I don't post in the F1 forum often, but I just thought I'd mention that I liked Speed's intro movie, likening the season to a play. Provided some amusing mental images. :)

Did any other American viewers enjoy it? Or do I have yet another mental problem...:nervous:

Only 8 laps in and, as expected, looks like Hamilton has this in the bag.

Edit: Ok BMW, dont be stupid, pull in Kubica for a full tank.

Dammit, Button's out and there's no explanation why. He was involved in that first-lap scuffle, but I didn't see where. Probably the car that kicked up that cloud of dirt.

At least there isn't as much brown-nosing of Hamilton this time around. Largely because the telecast was concentrating on Raikkonen vs. Barrichello.

Did DC just say he was going to "kick the s*** out of the little b******"?

Lmfao  at Coulthards comment hahaha ... I hope after the race Massa takes responsibility for that collision .. and if he doesn't I'll kick ten bales of s*it out of the little bastard hahaha ... made my night that :sly:

That was def. not a smart move by Ferrari making that pass. I think it was Massa, but he came within inches of smashing the Ferrari's nose. Of course, none of that matters. The suspension is shot, and now a Renault is off.

Going by the live timing - I had to surrender the room I was using, but at least I got to watch more than I did last year - it's an absolute race of attrition: Fisichella, Vettel, Davidson, Button, Webber, Sutil, Trulli, Coulthard, Piquet and Sato are pparently out (but the commentary is a little vague in places, so it could just be they've pulled into the pits).

And what happened with Massa? He seems to be reliving his days at Sauber when he was the most impetuous driver on the grid!
