I disagree. Although I don't much love the new Accord's butt, the "put any detail there!" attitude is exactly what has landed the automotive world in the current mess of abysmal styling. Look at this gen Sonata - what makes it look so good is that it's CLEAN - no pointless tarting up or detail-for-it's-own-sake to make it look cheap. The Sonata looks like it costs $5000 more than it does. Most other new cars, with all the flashy decorations splattered all over them, look like they cost $5,000 more than they should.
Which may be why the insets on the Sedan's nose look so out of place...they don't seems to have a purpose...
Tha Accord Coupe is beginning to remind me a little of the '70 1300 Coupe 9S in it's tapering profile..
