Why the hell does Allen keep saying "pound for pound" today, the drooling nincompoop? What have pounds of any kind got to do with the price of fish?

edit: nice job by Alonso. I'm a bit surprised Hamilton didn't have a go at the end. It would've been utterly stupid but entirely Lewis. =)

well, I'm off to get three hours of sleep before it's time to watch the comical tragedy that is a Mets team staggering towards the playoffs.

It would have been typically Lewis to have a go... but it's typically Raikonnen (the Kimi of this season, that is... I can't wait for the real Kimi to show up again) to shove it into the wall at the most inopportune time. Lewis only makes a move if he thinks he can get away with it...

Poor Massa... the jinx acts up again... when the going gets tough... Massa gets sloppy... unlike Kimi and Lewis, who seem to thrive on the pressure. :(

Unless Felipe brings his A-game to the next few, it'll be Lewis's year. And seeing how FM fades when he's not on the ball, that's a huge possibility.

LH detractors, eat your shorts. Lewis? I'm still waiting for the apology for last race, otherwise I'm still quitting your fan club.
 
Lol @ Ferrari and an great win by Alonso. Rosberg did very good despite his Stop and Go and Lewis kept his head cool and came on the podium. good podium:tup:

Fantastic race-enough action to keep someone with a very short attention span watching.

Well done Alonso-although Hamilton's move on Coulthard was pure skill.
 
Anyone seen Sutil putting it into the wall from a different angle?


The ITV Angle made it look like Massa cut across his line rejoining the track, and forced him to wall it or hit the moving red wall.
 
Humourous to hear Allen almost call Nakajima by his fathers name (or was it Nakano he almost called him? can't remember).

If that race wasn't an example of why the BBC shouldn't hire James Allen next year, I don't know what is.

Great win for Alonso, fully deserved, and an excellent 9 points for Williams too. Vettel overtakes Trulli for 8th in the championship as well! Another great drive by Glock.
A far better race than Valencia, plenty of overtaking going on (thank you Trulli!) and clearly challenging the drivers for once.

Woooooooo yeaaaaaaaahhhhhhh!!!!!! That was an exciting race! Great job Alonso! Alonso, Alonso, the greatest driver of em all Fernando Alonso!!!!! :D :cheers: He drove brilliantly during the race and haven't put a foot wrong. I think lady luck was really smiling on him during the entire weekend. As for the race, all I can say is this:

BEST RACE EVAH!!!!!!​

This has got to be the best race of the season, with almost having non stop action from the word go. A lot of overtaking moves being done, and there was plenty of drama happening throughout the race. Whoever says Singapore was boring needs to get his foot shot off...... :p Yeah, it was a great success and I hope Singapore does come back next year doing one better than this year.

I enjoyed seeing Fernando snatching a win once again, he truly drove like a two-times World Champion today đź‘Ť

Also, yay to Hammy for backing up on Rosberg, giving the german his best result yet :)

Poor Trulli, being the slowest guy during 50 laps nearly paid off, but yay Glock! Best Rookie of the year FTW!

On that, my Kimi fanboy-ism has completely dissapeared right now, and Ferrari needs a human lollipop man again, and teach Kimi to take it easy on the last 5 laps...

Somebody at Ferrari needs to be fired. First they didn't refuel Massa in Canada, then his engine blows in hungary, now... this stupid digital lollypop thing. I think now they have sucessfully taken his champioship.

Ferrari deserved what they got today, if they're going to continue using this silly semi-auto light system then they're going to have accidents. Use a lollipop, a guy who can actually see when it's safe and the time is right to release the car. Though as for Kimi...my word this guy is losing his touch, he seriously needs some form of confidence boost...


As per Rosberg and Kubica...erm...what were they supposed to do Bram? Stop out on track out of fuel? Sides...worked out fine for Nico lol.

No, I am not, sorry, I did not hold on to that thought... So that's why Barrichello retired then I suppose? I saw smoke out of his engine, so I assumed he had a mechanical failure...

I know Kubica is Polish, I was referring to the teams ;)

Isn't there somebody in charge of the light system though? I mean, if you're in charge of the system, surely you must see that the fueling still has not finished yet :dunce: It's a stupid system anyway, maybe they were too rushed of the fact that Kimi was on his way?

Yeah, hence it being "semi-automatic", supposed to be a button on the rig that the guy presses...perhaps a finger slipped or something...I dunno. Either way they've proving they've got issues with that system...that's what...2..3 times it's happened in recent races?

Rubens did come into the pits as far as I know, but they didn't probably didn't get any fuel into the car.

As for the teams: yes, BMW is german, but Williams is Brittish.

I don't really understand what you're trying to say then? You're saying they're silly for entering the closed pitlane...but you're not saying they should have stayed out and run out of fuel? I'm confused.

Williams is British and, technically, BMW Sauber is half Swiss, so you're still wrong ;)

I did not know they were running light on fuel, hence I thought they were dumb for driving into a closed pitlane :)

It's a rubbish rule anyway, this has happened before, with drivers being forced to pit and incuring penalties and totally not their fault, its a complete lottery whether theres a safety car period at that point or not.
It doesn't even do what it was intended to - stop all of the cars diving in the pitlane at once, they still do, just a lap later.

Thankfully, I think they are getting rid of this rule next year.

The only engine manufacturers who have changed a team's nationality in any way at all are BMW. Because engine suppliers change from year to year, I don't think engine nationality gets counted. ;)

This just underlines the problem with the FIA's rules - there is no consistency in them, they need to hire some more permenent race stewards who go to all of the races to help with this.
