Surely an add-on is not going to be effective, it would have to be in conjuction with other aero parts to be an advantage.

Even with that kind of fuel load, Vettel's pace is just unreal

And look at Fisi keeping up Glock's pace 👍

Both Ferrari's used the run off tarmac at the start and gained advantage from it. I'd like to know why they haven't received drive through penalties for that.

That Seb Vettel was almost, as much as it makes me sick to say it, Schumacher-esque

Last race was promising, and flopped. This race was promising, and flopped. Meanwhile, MotoGP delivered EPIC WIN on what is F1's most boring track - Catalunya.

Good god what a boring race! Damnit, and it's a whole year untill a new Le Mans :grumpy:

There was some good battles even if they had no bearing on the championship.

I think if Mark had got past Rubens early, a race to the flag would have been on between the Red Bull garages. At least the championship looks to be alive, next race will tell.

it would be correct to assume I am satisfied with this result

It's called the le mans series :sly:

They each lost a position. Kimi was ahead of Kazuki before he went off.

Nope. I've checked my recording and both Ferrari's deliberately used toe run off tarmac to gain place.

Heidfeld kept the race interesting for the first 20 laps thanks to driving with a damaged car and holding up Alonso.

I don't see anyone besides Vettel & Button winning a race this year, can't wait for the FOTA series next year.

Don't forget a historic race at a track that F1 would'nt dare go to

Zzzzzzzzzz.

It was so boring, I actually looked up the results before halfway for the first time in as long as I can recall.

I'm amused by some of the reactions here...this was a pretty awesome race, with action up and down all race and some surprise strategies playing out.
Perhaps some people here are only interested if there are lots of retirements?

Whatever the reason, you people are crazy, Fisichella in 10th and hanging onto Glock and Raikkonen (and an amazing move up Stowe!) 👍 Nakajima doing well at the start and keeping Raikkonen at bay while keeping up with Webber and Barrichello, pity his strategy was a dud 👍 Vettel blowing everyone away 👍 Alonso and Hamilton going all for it for 15th place 👍 Williams overtaking McLaren in the championship 👍 Briatore admitting to maybe being a looney 👍

I don't know guys, maybe you're all just STR fans or something  I enjoyed that race.
Well done Vettel, finally perhaps injecting some competition into this championship. Hope to see some more of that! (if only we could have a circuit where both cars are level and drivers are driving well).

It would have been nice if we saw some of it. I think Fisichella was on-screen just twice and we never saw anything of Nakajima and Raikkonen or Webber and Barrichello except for momentary filler shots just o show they were still on the track.

Well, maybe I'm crazy, or maybe I don't get thrilled seeing a BMW and a Renault battling for 16th 40 seconds behind the leader after a third of the race...

^Well, the alternative is no on track action at all, no one was close to the Red Bull's today and Vettel was in another realm.

So...you'd rather see cars holding station than Hamilton and Alonso battling?

Oh the irony, and here were people complaining the camera's were focused on the Force India's doing nothing at Monaco and now we have people complaining about it focusing on the on track action!

Fisichella didn't do much after his awesome dive down Stowe, so you didn't miss anything. Nakajima, Raikkonen, Webber and Barrichello held station for most of the race. Seriously, the FOM coverage today is the best I've seen in a while, I don't think we missed one overtake except for a few Hamilton/Alonso scrapes.

I'd like to see everyone once in a while if it becomes obvious that a battle is going nowhere fast. And if by chance we happen to miss Hamilton going aound the outside of Alonso because we were too busy checking up on Raikkonen reeling Nakajima in, there's always the replay.

was a good race.. i was gutted for button in qualifying and was praying for him to be on heavyer fuel as abit of a tactic to get more heat in the tyres but allas no :( the car wsa just not hooking up..

awsome win for vettle but gutted for webber he was my bett for a win untill the first lap was over lol

i wanted button to win but i carnt help but think how the championship will only get better now as red bull can have a tussle with brawn and we will get some great racing from that..

The number 1 priority for the TV coverage for me is to cover all the action. The number 2 priority is to not miss anyone out, but it matters very little.
I'd rather watch a battle for 15th even if its worth very little, I enjoy watching strategies play out and seeing what the leaders are doing and all but seeing as we have whole races to see that kind of thing (Valencia, Catalunya, etc) I'd rather see what little battles we do get from time to time.

FOM needs to learn the idea of multitasking. A slightly more active (and visible) ticker showing gaps, occasional graphs and lapcharts showing a driver catching up, and a slightly heavier use of the telemetry: We only see KERS-usage in the onboards, when instead, they could show us throttle/brake/RPM/KERS/Speed graphics for two drivers together - like, for example, in MotoGP. Or simultaneousy show the main race, along with, for example, a small window of a mid-fielder pitting.

I enjoyed it today but perhaps more the whole spectacle and decent varied coverage by the BBC plus Vettel and Adrian. I was worried as Legard was doing a good James Allen impression in quali.

Shame to see Webber not being able to get on the back of Rubens.

Will be interesting to see how the RBR goes from here as I feel Vettel was pushing too much to bridge the gap before.

I am surprised people didn't think the race was great. Few new camera angles that complemented the track and while there was not much overtaking there was lots of very close racing and some interesting strategies. I thoroughly enjoyed the whole race.

Well I did enjoy the racing outside of the top 8 but I should of skipped this one and gotten the extra sleep. Overall on-track racing was kind of dull :indiff:

This is the first Red Bull Hat trick too and the first Hat trick for the team ever since it was first created as Stewart Grand Prix. Vettel just missed out on a Grand Chelem too.
