Holy moly, Sutil for the win points!

I can only hope for the Brawn's to jump Webber at the start but otherwise go Webber, hope he can make it to his first win after all these unlucky years.

Hats off to Hamilton, Kovalainen and McLaren too, hell, the Mercedes-powered drivers have all done well this weekend, just left to Fisichella to pull his weight in the race.

This is going to be an interesting race to say the least, especially if more rain throws it all up in the air again. Who said this season is boring? Disappointed with the Toyota's and Williams, hopefully they can make up the ground in the possible unpredictablility of rain tomorrow.

Ferraris were way off pace, They managed to only do 1:34's ,whiler the front of the grid did low 1:32's. What's wrong with them?

Let me just say quickly... congratulations to Mark Webber on winning the pole. As the saying goes- "better late than never."
 
I'm happy that the Brawns are fueled lightly, but c'mon Alonso at least put it in as much fuel as Piquet.
 
I only hope it doesn't rain until after the Brawn's pitstop window, if it does then Mark's fuel advantage is useless.

Sun 08:21 Sunday morning rain, but it's blown through early

The main band of wet weather passed over the Nurburgring at dawn this morning.

Rain began to fall at 05:00 local time and as the band came through the track quickly became very wet. At approximately 09:30 local time the rain stopped as the band cleared the region.

The track is currently very wet, but is drying out slowly in the cool morning temperatures. The weather radar shows us that there is still a high chance of rain for the next hour or so, as some following showers cross the area, but beyond that the forecast is beginning to look rather dry.

I really want Mark to win today, Vettel and Rubens or Adrian on the podium Ferrari's to finish and the rest cam be pure chaos for my entertainment :lol:
 
I think it could be set for a good race, the Nurb' is a good track for overtaking. Fuel loads are interesting. Sutil so heavy, Brawn so light.

I have to ask, how is Sutil so far ahead of Fisi?
 
Just to let anyone who cares know or might have missed qualifying, you can watch the final session of it on the BBC's red button. But be quick its started already.

PS: Alonso's such a great driver, what a way to look great whilst making a mistake, great save.

Right I think the best thing to do with the stewards for the next race is lock them in a room and cut the TV coverage to it, its got to be the only way we can stop them ruining Formula 1.
There is no way Webber deserved a drive though for that. Rubens had loads of room to move over and he did not have 3/4 of his car alongside Webber. Formula 1 would be a great sport, if idiots didnt get involved, they may have even ruined the whole constructor championship if Brawn get a good points haul here.
 
Harsh for Webber, although I can't understand why he swerved into Barrichello - either way, it didn't benefit him at all. Atleast Kovaleinen has done him a major favour by backing the pack up, and with Barrichello on a different strategy, there is still a good chance that Webber can win this (esp. as Vettel and Button are not firing on cylinders today either).

Anyway, Webber managed to take his penalty in 2nd place, and come out in the lead :lol:
