A combination of the 3 could work though - single "normal" fence... followed by spiky fence... followed by angled fence.

Here's an idea: they could build 50 ft high and 5 ft deep reinforced concrete walls all around the track :dunce:

Or, the the teams could ensure coco the clown doesn't design the fally-off-wheels.

The jenson v lewis partnership is going to be an interesting battle all season. Got to say I'm surprised that Jenson is beating lewis, just like I was surprised in jenson's performance early last season. Before australia 09 I'd pretty much written him off as an "also ran". How wrong I was.
My take on it is that JB experience is allowing him to make the strategy decisions for himself, which has so far turned out for the best.

Meanwhile Hamilton with less experience and in a team he's used to trusting to guide him all the way and just leave him do the racing, is getting ever so slightly disadvantaged by decisions that just don't benefit him.

So far, the difference between the two has been down to tiny differences in strategy.

Crazy priest running across the track, gone.

Wasn't he a disgruntled former Mercedes employee?

EDIT: this was a different incident.

He he he - I think to be fair that the design was sound as they seemed to think the carbon was faulty... so the production failed.

From the looks of things I think that:

Senna vs. Prost ----------> Hamilton vs. Button

2 world champions, at McLaren, one is older and smoother, the other one is younger and more aggressive, hell, Button greatly admired Prost, while Hamilton's hero is Senna. Methinks that this season will see a big rivalry between the 2 McLaren drivers.

It can be difficult and at times plain frustrating to know some action is occurring on the track but it is out of view of the camera lens.

I really like this track though so I'm going to defend it
*snip*
A lot of the corners at Shanghai use this theme and that in itself makes it unique/interesting.

One of my favourite corners by Tilke is at Turkey. Turns 8, 9 and 10
I'd have to agree this has to be one of those races where you just can't see everything on TV.
As for the repeated schemes, that's exactly what makes it boring IMO :) One of the 'snail' corners would be cool...

Now, yes the corner from Turkey GP is awesome, just the entire track isn't... I remember it made for some pretty boring races already, too. :)
I just hope they will use more classic 'road' courses in the future again. 👍
Oh and yeah, I forgot Spa... :ouch:

They've only been teammates for 3 races, I think they will dislike each other by the end of the season.

You also have to consider that Prost and Senna were from two different cultures, and I'm sure nationalistic pride motivated the urge to establish themselves as the top driver. It may have been the same situation repeated when Alonso was Lewis' teammate. That's not a problem with Button and Hamilton, and it actually helps to avoid misunderstandings. The Hammer has basically spent the entire season heaping praise on Button, and vice-versa. So far, I have seen absolutely no signs of friction between the two.

Prost and Senna did get along initially, all the way through 1988 if I remember correctly.

There is plenty of time yet for friction. I don't want to see it but that's not to say it will not happen. Prost and Senna notoriously drove each other off the track, twice, in their personal battles.

More recently, the driver relationship between Hamilton and Alonso didn't deteriorate until later in the season where results became more critical.

McLaren have a knack of handling these situations better than most teams; firstly they do allow each driver to race each other, secondly, they ensure each driver knows they get equal treatment.

When Hakkinen and Coulthard were team mates, the team forced them into deciding themselves who was going to push for the title. I remember the two drivers made a bet that who ever arrived at the first corner of a particular race would be given the chance to go on and win. As it transpired it was Hakkinen who won. Ironically, Coulthard had to/decided to give Mika the track position in the race by yielding. I bet that's a monkey he can't shake.

 Carbon was faulty? I can just picture that inquest on an atomic level:

"Name?"

"Carbon."

"Occupation?"

"Well, I'm possibly the most important Element in the Periodic table.
For example: the only one with a nice round integer atomic number of 12.0000000, off which all other Elemental atomic weights are calculated and I'm the basis for the Molar calibration. I'm also the building block of the backbone of life on Earth and in my purest forms I'm the enabler of furious fire (coal), written communication (graphite) and I'm among the hardest, most precious materials ever known, (diamond) so you could say I'm a Jack of all trades really!"

"And how do you respond to these allegations that you were in some way "faulty" in relation to the Buemi accident?"

"Ahem. Erm. Cough. I did have my good pals Gallium, Selenium, Silicon and Nitrogen over the night before the race, and we'd had, well, y'know, a few ales before we went to bed. Come to think of it Hydrogen & Oxygen showed up too, and my cousins C13 & the slighty unstable C14.
Oh.
Ah.
Er, cripes!
Oh Blimey! Those 🤬 isotopes stitched me up again didn't they?!!!"

:p

Indeed they did, until Senna tried to squeeze Prost into a pit wall somewhere (Estoril, perhaps?)

Yes it was Estoril and it was one of the most ludicrously dangerous and aggressive moves I've ever seen in F1 and should have been punished severely but wasn't.
