Jump start from Vettel!

Leads Webber, Rosberg, Kubica (jumps a few places, too), Sutil, Schumi, Hulkenberg, Liuzzi... etcetera... let's see how quickly the Ferraris and McLarens can cut up this field.

EDIT: biggest jumper so far is Hamilton... just past Algesuari for 12th.

Has anyone got the live timing working? Hamilton on a charge. 9th now.

Edit: working now.

Petrov is really taking it to Hamilton... that is one fast Renault!... Hamilton up to 9th, but if he can't shake Petrov, he's not going to get past Liuzzi and Hulkenberg.

EDIT: Wahahaha... Pit Radio says he's got a warning for weaving in front of Petrov... but he's got clear air on him now...

Massa holding up Alonso... again...? They're stalled behind Buemi... Live Timing is wonky...

Button shafted by his tires... he was monstered by the Ferraris in that first segment, and he didn't have the pace on the softs that Lewis does on the hards...

Agh! Michael Schumacher out with car trouble! He was having a good race!

I'm still up at 3:20 AM. Friend is dead asleep though. C'mon Red Bull! Stay up there!

Man, Vettel's got a great lead! It's a time trial for him at this point!

Didn't he pass Alonso before coming in to get back out in clean air?

Edit: Button with fastest lap.

Lou Hammy is making a charge! I'll admit I'm nervous for the Red Bulls up front!:nervous:

There all you guys are.

Liuzzi out... Hamilton up to 6th. But just two of those places due to retirements. Button still holding behind the Ferraris despite the pitstops... guess those retirements benefitted him as well... Don't have live timing... can't tell what the gap is, but he's setting fastest laps.

Hamilton may be able to get past Sutil cleanly... but Kubica will take some work... and given the possible condition of his tires, may be near impossible. But he's setting a new fastest lap! On worn tires! Man is he pushing!

Didn't he pass Alonso before coming in to get back out in clean air?

I'll admit, with live timing going all weird on me, I couldn't see what was happening back there... but for the past few laps, Alonso and Massa have been holding formation.

EDIT: relying on the former F1-Live (now ESPN)... Live Timing still not loading for me. :(

6.5 seconds between the Red Bulls and 3rd! Ok, I'm not as nervous now!:sly:

Malaysia claims another victim.

Button is closing back up on the Ferraris now, less than 12 seconds back from Alonso.

Will it rain (when? If?) seems to be the question of the moment.

Alonso seems to have a gearbox issue but is still going.

Damnit... First Schumacher... now Alonso... Alonso's gearbox sounds like a box of rocks... if he can keep it together, he's sure not to push to pass Massa.

Sutil in... Hamilton passing him for fifth... Force India down to 8th.

Woohoo! Algesuari on Petrov! Wahahaha!

Good job to those STR Ferrari's!👍

Uh oh! Vettel vs. Hammy! This might be good!

Bad pit for Webber!:scared:

Will Mark Webber never get a lucky break? Stuck wheelnut... he comes out of the pits behind Hamilton!

Hamilton is right there in second, but he still has to pit.

Webber for the fastest lap!:sly: Attaboy!

halfway point! Red Bull still out in front!

Massa going faster than everyone else on those fresh tires. The big question... how long before Hamilton comes in for tires?

Algesuari past Hulkenberg... those STRs are fast, aren't they?

Hamilton leaves the pits and goes side by side with Button into turn one. 2 different ways of making up places demonstrated there.

Louie came in for tires. That was a close one with Button! My eyes are now set on the Red Bulls of Vettel and Webber.

Petrov is out.

Ouch... bad luck for Petrov... yet another retirement due to the heat...

EDIT: love it whenever Alonso's race engineer comes on and tells him to take on Kubica... "Kooh-BI-Kah"... seriously... why is he always talking about Kooh-bi-kah?

Crazy wide margains out front! That's a good thing from my point of view!:sly:

no rain comming ... i hope vettels car keep working till finish

These SPEED channel commercials are stupid.

Alonso pits, Massa right up behind Button and on fresh tyres too.

hamilton and sutil fighting .....

sutil is faster than hamilton on straights

Webber instructed to press full throttle down the straights on the pit radio!!!

wow buemi vs barrichello ... that was close

webber is also damn fast even without full throttle

Pit to Massa:
"Good boy, beautiful... get on with it..."

Massa over Button for 7th.
