I really liked the look of the last gen 300C, looked chunky and I liked the high door but low roof line. I guess it would have had more of a impact here in the EU were it looks huge compared to over in the states.

It had a starring role in the film "Firewall' with Harrison Ford, if I had the money I would have bought one. The Crossfire under that era wasnt bad either so I dont see what all the complaints were about. You were getting last gen Merc's with a 'Deco' look for a bargain!

Robin.

first off, 300's look huge over here, too, and so do their dodge derivatives. second, I wouldn't count on either brand being around much longer. I have a distinct feeling they're gonna disappear.

It'd be a pity. They've had some distinctive designs, and as far as American marques go Chryslers have been fairly popular in the UK. The Voyager always sold well, the Neon and PT did too and there are 300Cs everywhere. The Crossfire isn't as common but you still see them about.

Of course, they sold 300Cs and PT Cruisers over here with a diesel option, which always helps.

I agree with Robin on the 300C, it's a handsome design and even over here where car prices are a bit inflated it's still good value.

A handsome design does not save it from the ghastly quality of Chrysler interiors and what not.

Luckily, they seem to be attempting to actually fix that. Which is more than can be said for a certain company who shows off concept and preproduction models with fantastic interiors and then squeezes every penny possible out of them before they get to the dealer lots.

Did it?! :S All I remember was the Pacifica the evil British bloke drove... As far as I'm concerned it'll always be Bree Van de Kamp's car.

Having driven a Crossfire, I tend to agree. Although the interior was pretty so-so, the entire car actually wasn't too bad, certainly a fairly decent value at the time. Problem was, the C5 (and later, C6) was that much better. Let alone the BMW Z4 and the Porsche Boxster.

I would LOVE to have the Crossfire come back, get a solid interior update, and grab that new Phoenix V6. But, being rolled in with Alfa, it won't happen. Not if there is a new Spyder on the way.

True, but then you get what you pay for. And it was pretty cheap in the UK so I can't imagine how cheap it was over there.

It's pretty much on par with what other full size sedan's run price wise(base is $27,000).(I realize that the 300 is considered a "luxury" car, but I can't put it in that category personally).

The 300C is the Luxury Model, even with its bad interior. the Base models are more mainstream.. Consider it American Luxury like the Town Car, Deville, and Crown Vic.

Why have camo'ed spy shots when you can have the real thing?

At least I know what I'll be shuttled around in when I go to and from the airport. And I know it'll be my rental car too.

I think it looks dreadful and the front end looks like it was stolen off an Audi A8. The interior will probably be pretty "meh" too.

Hardly any auto maker is 100% original any more. There are going to be elements of other cars in any new design. I have nothing against that, I was merely just pointing out that's where they yanked the front end from.

I don't see anything from any other automaker. The 300 always had them headlights shape, just that it was more squarer and without LEDs. The grill is nothing like audi or even huyndia (sp?). Audis grills flow into and become the lower airdams while hundyias grill is cluttered like a toyota siena... The rear is a throwback the original chrysler car designs from the late 50's even has a simulated tail fin..
