I thought this car was important enough for it's own thread.

Hopefully Chrysler get this thing right - They need to...

Something's weird, because those first two pictures look like they'd both be the grille, but are definitely different. Different number of blades on them...but one doesn't really look like a lower grille either.

Since we're talking about Chrysler here, this thread is useless without interior pics.

What do you need interior pics for?

Edit: I forgot for a second that a park bench is more comfortable than a Chrysler interior.

Its hard to tell what it looks like from that picture but I hope its a worthy successor. I love the 300C and also the deco styling of the Crossfire. 2 great things in my book to come out of the Daimler partnership.

Robin.

^ Out of 100.

I'd assume that the interior would be fantastic, because Chrysler was actually turning stuff around themselves before the whole Credit Explosion happened (with the Ram and the Grand Cherokee). That being said, I still agree that we need to confirm.

^a render. It's far too "shiny" However, if that's how it'll be laid out, I'm all for it.

I need to find a way to Chicago. When is it this year?

So they've taken the 300C, a unique looking car designed to be big and chunky and turned it into a smoothly shaped clone of every other modern large car?

Bad move.

We don't know that yet. That's a render of the nose. we need to see the whole car before really passing judgment.

Not sure I like the Audi-style headlights, though...but that may just be because I hate Audis.

Third week of February, as I recall. I'll probably be there on the opening Saturday. Probably. Depends on how easily I can get time off at work.

Yo Chrysler, I'm real happy for you and all but Audi had one of the best sets of LED lights of all time!

I can't believe how much Audi I see in those lights, it's almost like they went out in the parking lot and ripped someone's headlights off their A4 for the concept.

I didn't like the 300C in the first place though, I felt it was trying to be a Rolls Royce meshed with a gangta image and that never really did it for me. On top of that it really wasn't a nice place to be inside. It was comfortable but it was a sea of cheapness and on a luxury car I don't want cheap. Well see what the Italians do with the 300C, it'll probably be a lot like the Lancia Thesis.

+1
Who cares if it was overpriced, rode like a coffee table (in SRT8 form at least), and had the interior made from barbie cars. It looked fantastic!

And now it looks boring.

EDIT: Well at least it doesn't look like a Crossfire

Am I the only one who thinks those LED lights look stupid and ugly on an Audi? Let alone before everyone tries to copy them...

Also, that shot looks pretty consistent with the rendering Chrysler made when they were begging for cash:

Audis are rare enough around here that I've saw just one A5 on the road. And those LED daytime running lights looked awesome. Highly visible and despite being a bright day, they had the usual cool white color of an LED with that bit of blueness.

Owkey... The headlights look like an Audi A4 to me. No seriously, is that an Audi?? I have never liked the 300C because it was too boxy, and the interior massively from plastics. I hope that they can do something better with this one but I think, this is going to be worse.

JCE
Crappy car turned into a more crappy car? Fail on top of fail.

Have you been planning that one for the past several years? Or are you just that ignorant and arrogant? The thing's not even out in concept form, yet. Hold off your judgement until we actually see more than arender

No, thats a Chrysler. Inspired from Audi.

Actually, thats one of not-so-many 300C's sex appeal.

Most (or maybe all) of American cars' interior made from plastics. Don't protest on that.

It's going to be a modern day Lancia, I can't imagine it's going to be that great.

I've actually heard quite a bit to the contrary, so I wouldn't count that out. FIAT today is not FIAT of the 1970s. In fact, Lancias today are more in line with what Chrysler should be...a near-luxury make, rather than a rebadged Dodge, content levels and all..

I was under the impression that the next 300/Charger would continue to ride on the LX chassis, albeit, with heavy modifications. That same platform was supposed to underpin the new flagships for Alfa Romeo and so on as well. I can't fault much of the chassis for the way it is right now, perhaps with exception of it being far too heavy, so hopefully the FIAT people have cut some stuff out with it already.
