I'm still just scratching my head over that. It just happened so quick and so unexpectedly.

Oh, Brad won the Cup race BTW. *Cue Cale*

Also made this video a few days ago.

How about Keselowski taking the win with one fractured ankle and both feet all bruised up and swollen.

And that Nationwide finish was unreal. Carl probably wondering which way to go. O.K., I'll go this way. Nope, bam right into his teammate to give him the win.

Damn, I was just going to post that:lol:

Good chance there will be 2 road courses on the Truck schedule next year.

Pocono has made improvements to make it safer, but apparently not quite there yet. Still don't know why the hell Pocono gets two races a year.

I know in the video the wreck was purely an accident, but the few ARCA races I have watched in the past have been wreck fests. Seems these guys could exploit any unsafe area around a race track with how they race sometimes.

How about it? Watkins Glen is up next for Nationwide and Cup this weekend. I still want to imagine NASCAR using the long course. IndyCar uses the long course. This is still a great challenge for NASCAR this weekend.

Ready to see NASCAR go left AND right this weekend? Good luck to all teams competing at Watkins Glen this weekend.

[UPDATE] There was a point I forgot to mention in my initial post. I read that Danica Patrick (as of Sunday) was nearing a deal to race for JR Motorsports for a full-time ride in Nationwide, and may even run a few Cup races with another team. I've said long ago that ARCA to Nationwide was like going from Single-A baseball to Triple-A baseball. Well, going from Nationwide to Cup is like going from Triple-A right into the major leagues. I think she can be consistent and competitive in NASCAR. Maybe not Top 10 on a consistent basis, but certainly far from having to always settle for "Go or Go Home" material. She is still considering if she should do the Indy 500, and I think she should keep doing Indy. It's unfinished business for her in my view.

Why do people feel they have to put a rush on these things now days? She hasn't even had success in Nationwide, she doesn't deserve a Cup ride yet. In my opinion, NASCAR should have rules concerning this type of thing, requiring a driver to have so many wins before they can move up.

Sounds like Pocono is going to 400 mile races next year.👍

Should be 1 400 miler. No need for two races there. Replace one of them with Road America. :D

I personally feel that there should be 1 race per track with the open slots being filled with road courses.

I would rather watch two boring 400 mile races at Pocono. If any track is going to give up a date, please let it be one of the 15 races on some nearly-identical Charlotte clone.

Pocono is boring, but at least it is something different. I liked the old Atlanta configuration way more than the new layout. Same for Homestead.

It's too bad tracks that were actually different from week to week like Darlington, Wilkesboro, Rockingham, and California have had to give up races so more tracks that are 95% similar can litter the schedule.

Variety should be the solution, not the enemy. I would love to see four road course races a year (one in every nine events), one of which should be in the Chase. I think we all know that's never going to happen.

I really like Miami. The variable banking makes for good racing.

I agree with you about some of the ovals, the relatively new low banked 1.5mi tracks that Bruton Smith's Speedway Motorsports has built I don't like.

I think Iowa would be nice for the cup series.

I think the reason why most people don't like NASCAR road racing is "it's not racin'." Like you HAVE to be on an oval to have great stock car racing for most people. Stock cars can definitely go left and right. They don't have to be pure road racing machines, but at least it shows that stock cars can go left and right, even if they weren't meant to be road racing machines. I even think the Chase for the Cup should have a road race (or two). How about a race at Road Atlanta or Sebring? Maybe Barber Motorsports Park (if you dare)?

Time to see who'll make the grade going left and right this weekend.

BK is going to win, and every other race until the chase. Just watch him do it. ^_^

My solution would be for each track to only have one race. I don't get the point of going to the same track twice a year when there are so many other tracks out there (road courses mainly) that could better fill that spot.

Holy crap, Leigh Diffey is on a NASCAR Cup series Broadcast?

This race weekend just got abit better :D
