I'm pretty annoyed at Kurt Busch for punting Allmendinger into the grass. I doubt that A.J. would have had the speed to win the race, but he sure seemed to be doing well, and I would have loved to see him in the mix with the leaders at the end. Congratulations to Ambrose, though; it's nice to see him get the monkey off his back. Incidentally, what was Brad doing during Marcos' burnout? He didn't seem mad at the pass judging by his comments after the race, but I guess he might have been frustrated in the moment before re-evaluating once his emotions had cooled off.

I think he was just turning around to get back on pit road, and drove down to congratulate Ambrose. Maybe tell him he let him win. :sly:

Caught the last few laps. Nice run by Ambrose :).

Horrifying crash between Reutimann and Ragan, all because of Boris Said.

Ragan didn't exactly leave him much room to blend back in and even if he would have backed off, whos to say there wouldn't have been a wreck going in the esses?

Saw the race and person and let me just say it was an amazing experience, I found qualifying and practice to be not very interesting, but the final race was amazing! I have a major dislike for both the Busch brothers, Kyle especially, so I was glad Marcos was able to pass him and take the win, Kurt spun once and in his effort to catch back up, he "ran" into AJ Allmendinger and sent him into the grass(from my perspective he bumped him and from what I've heard, the Busch's aren't exactly "clean" racers) so I was glad when he clipped the tire wall(just because he was out of the race, the commentators even said "what goes around comes around") all and all it was an excellent weekend, I was actually there to watch the Grand AM series, so NASCAR was just an awesome bonus.

Today's race was a great one, and a perfect example for two things.

1. NASCAR should visit more road courses such as Montreal, Road America, or maybe even Laguna Seca!
2. WGI should continue improving the safety of its track by adding more safer barriers and smaller inward cutting walls for safety crews.

I heard Boris went after someone after the race, anyone know who?

He tried going after Biffle. What people are reporting in the news is that Biffle did not appreciate what Said did to Ragan. However, Boris mentioned it was some tiff between them in a prior race and that Biffle was flipping him off and making gestures at him during the race so Said planned to see him after the race and take care of business.

What happened with Boris and Ragan happened with Stewart and Boris last year.

Wish I was there. I haven't been to the Glen since '07.

Question is what will the viewership numbers be in both countries?

Good question, I would say not a lot down here because the race started around 3am, I didn't see it live for that reason but I'll catch the replay later tonight.

I see.. I think a lot of that is an act, especially when it's with someone like Boris who isn't really a big name in NASCAR so him having a feud with somebody would bring the ratings up. I actually can't believe how some of you guys are saying negative things about Boris.. David went off track and he was complaining Borris didn't let him back on, so really nobody was at fault, because your not just going to let somebody back on track and get ahead of you, especially on the final lap. Check out the interview ESPN had with Boris, good stuff. Go Boris:p

Have you seen the interview?

That was definitely not an act. I just found Boris to be hypocritical during that interview.

Posted that prior to watching the interview

It could very well be. Boris isn't in many races anyways so how could he have a feud with Biffle in the first place?

On a side note, Boris himself got wrecked in a similar fashion last year so you would think he would know what was going to happen.

I absolutely disagree with all the negative things being said about Boris's Inteview, especially since it involves Biffle. Greg is not exactly a guy that mans up when he makes a mistake. I still remember when he moronically drove like a Jackass and ran Joey into the Wall at California even while Joey gave him enough room. Call me "unprofessional" if you want but when some idiot like him comes along and does all this crap and can't even man up to to it, I'd be just as upset and saying some of the same things.

You don't threaten to go to the guys house and beat him up, you just don't. You handle it on the track, which seems is something Boris doesn't want to do.

In the little bit they showed of the skirmish, he did try to but Greg didn't want to go up to him and settle it himself. I haven't heard Boris make these kinds of threats before prior so I think this goes back way further then just one race.

I don't think you handle it on the track, either. I think you confront him nonviolently in the garage area rather than acting like a macho ******* and threatening to beat him up. :yuck:

Listen to his interview again, he's panting like a dog, probably because he's having an adrenaline rush and he's angry at Biff, so in the heat of the moment, along with the surge of adrenaline, he probably said some things he shouldn't have, its human nature. I still think Boris is blamed and picked on by some of the other drivers because he's only on the road courses, so he seems to be easy "prey"

Word has it that Danica Patrick will formally announce going full-time into Nationwide in 2012 with about eight or nine Sprint Cup races. I also heard she'll go full-time into Sprint Cup in 2013. This is all according to something I read on ESPN's Bottom Line. I think Danica needs to if not place consistently in the Top 10, win. Sprint Cup is Major League. I've never stopped believing in Danica. I've never considered her more cannon fodder than actual talent. Danica can actually win races. She consistently does the simplest thing any racer can do- finish races. I'm not saying Danica is going to be a NASCAR champ, but I think she has a chance to further her craft piloting 3400 lb. stock cars. The one thing I become concerned about is how she'll do at tracks like Daytona and Talladega. She had that great run at Daytona in ARCA, but how will she get adjusted to things like... I don't know, The Big One?

Danica Patrick is a petite at 5'2", but what do you think of Danica making an impact bigger than her, racing NASCAR full-time next season in Nationwide followed by full-time in Cup in 2013?

I honestly think Going to Sprint Cup full time just after one year of Nationwide is way too optimistic. I think she needs at least two seasons, maybe three before she's ready for Cup.

+1

I don't care how popular she is. If she can't get at least a few Nationwide wins under her belt, she doesn't deserve to move to Cup so soon. Wish teams would stop doing that.

I never understood the whole Danica craze. She won a grand total of one race in her whole professional career, of which she led 3 laps, not even on outright speed but on fuel strategy. I'm not being sexist or chauvinist, I just think it's about time she showed the world she can consistently run at the front day in, day out... Because I'm sure there are many other guys out there that would deserve that spot on the grid.

You can only go so far on looks alone. To quote Jay-Z, show me what you got.
