I think it was AVB's fault his team went out by Leeds, he didnt name a recognised striker and left Defoe behind which was senseless!

Wasn't Defoe left out due to injury? And that's their issue, they only have two decent strikers in Adebayor and Defoe, and Ade's away at the African championships. Soooo, yeah, I dunno what AVB should've done instead.

That was some weekend in the football, probably the best FA Cup weekend for ages!

..and i didnt know Defoe was injured...

Lewis Holtby moving to Tottenham. I think another great young player that Tottenham are picking up. Will give them better depth in the midfield for sure.

Yeah just read about that..very interesting that they have signed him now when they agreed to a pre-contract deal for him to join in the summer...

..also it gets worse for Villa fans, Lambert says that he has no money available to him to bring in much needed new players!...they are doomed!

Yep, feels like they're gonna go down this year... Can't win anything with kids. :p

So theres a few games on tonight...the stand one being Villa-Newcastle, which is such a big game for both sides!..Sunderland-Swansea is the televised game tonight...

Villa 0-1 Newcastle Cisse with the goal!

Aston Villa 1 - 2 Newcastle.

Villa had to get a penalty to score.

1-2 it finished then..such a bad result for Villa, they are on a shocking run and Lambert is in serious trouble!

Other results were..Sunderland 0-0 Swansea..QPR 0-0 Man City and Stoke 2-2 Wigan..

QPR 0-0 Man City
Quite pleased with the QPR - City result.

Now hoping United can take advantage of this and regain the 7 point lead.

Wonder if Lambert is "sacked in the morning." :sly:

The constant bombardment of Roman A. jokes is getting old. Just saying. I make fun of the guy and this "sacked in the morning" thing is already getting annoying.

Why so grumpy? :grumpy: :dopey:

I was very happy with the QPR - City score yesterday. We have Southampton at home so it shouldn't be too difficult to regain the 7 point lead. We will definitely need that lead come April. Some of the games we have are City, Chelsea and Swansea at home and Stoke and Arsenal away.

...and it was in the paper today that we and city dont actually play at the same time untill we play City in April...meaning one will always know what the other has done..

Interesting, I think they may have done that deliberately because they knew that us and City would be the 2 main title contenders and it makes it more tense for the fans.

Intersting times right now..big game tonight between Arsenal and Liverpool and the transfer window shuts 11pm tomorrow..Liverpool have just completed the signing of Philip Coutinho from Inter Milan for around 8 million...

Coutinho has potential. Hopefully he won't turn out to be another useless kid.

SAF is really going for 3 points today... :D

De Gea
Jones, Smalling, Vidic, Evra
Welbeck, Carrick, Anderson, Kagawa
Rooney
Van Persie

Goal! Arsenal-Liverpool 0-1. Suarez.
No idea what the Arsenal defence was thinking there.

They weren't! :D

Edit:

United 2 - 1 Southampton.

Rooney scores 2 goals after a shaky start for United. :)

Lol Chelsea let go of another 2-0 lead...

Ehrmagerd, Chelsea losing 2-0 to 2-2 vs Reading, Liverpool doing the same thing. Wow, Reading, they've recovered points and wins in the last minutes of three straight games.

Go Reading! :D

7 points clear now on top. Really had to work today though.
Southampton put up a good fight.

Was good to see Rooney score goals again. :)

I always think any away point is a good point. Especially when you are two up with 3 minutes left.

Nope, Caulker and Naughton are shocking defensively. Weather or not they develop to good defenders remains to be seen but right now, they are costing us quite a lot when they play.

Typical Chelsea for the last 2 months. I swear since December, we haven't been able to play in the second half at all.

Chelsea have cost me in some bets!! I swear Im never putting money on them again haha they keep disappointing me

So anyone see Balotelli has officially left Man City to AC Milan now. Not sure what this forum thinks of him but I actually liked him! :( Man City will be fine without him though

Its deadline day people!

Number of deals done already including Norwich swapping Steve Morison for Luciano Becchio from Leeds, Chris Samba having medical at QPR ahead of a very lucrative move, QPR also sign Andros Townshend on loan from Spurs, Sunderland agree fee for Danny Graham...and Beckham is going to PSG!
