Anyone else think Perez should have got a penalty for his block on Kobayashi?

Nah, it's not too dangerous but well, it's up to Kobay to rant about it after that, FIA will take action.

Based on my view on them(FIA)..that is. :p

Great for Nico for his first race win great job.

Shame about the Saubers but still solid drives by both of them. I think either Sauber will be a bigger better team next year or both drivers have contract offers from bigger teams.

Hamilton is consistant which is a big improvement on last year.

Bahrain GP next weekend. Results from 2010
1 8 Fernando Alonso
2 7 Felipe Massa
3 2 Lewis Hamilton
4 5 Sebastian Vettel
5 4 Nico Rosberg
6 3 Michael Schumacher

Possible repeat of this weekend for Mercedes GP next week?

Technically, since he only did one defensive move, and didn't push him off the track, I don't think it was a violation of the rules. But if it were Hamilton, it probably would have been.

Interesting how MSC didnt make a huge deal about his mechie screwing up his pitstop, but Button has a huge whine about it in the post race interview.

Exactly I was biting my nails to about lap 54 or 55 wondering if Lewis would get 3rd or not again, and he did :)

Great drive by him.

Perez to Ferrari (a.k.a Massa to Ferrari from Sauber)
Kobay to Mclaren (a.k.a Raikonnen to Mclaren from Sauber also) :p

I could see one of them going to Ferrari to replace Massa. Not McLaren they got a solid lineup but Lotus could have an opening.

Maybe because Schumi's was an accident...? [/foilhat] [/joke]

The BBC have got the Constructor's points table all to cock - apparently Red Bull have 106 pts to McLaren's 55

Schumacher's pit error didn't cost him the victory as it looked like he was out there to make sure Rosberg had the best shot at winning the race.

Yeah, maybe it was the one from last year.

That is because Button is in a fight for the championship and Schumacher isn't.

Driver of the race: Sebastian Vettel. Honorable mention to Nico Rosberg for a fantastic first win!!!!!!

Bring on Bahrain. Getting up early for qualy the day after my 21st birthday? Oh well. I'm a true fan like that.

Anybody notice that the 2010 podium was Jenson, Lewis, Nico? I think they all Do good at this track.

Really happy for Rosberg for his first win and Button getting second was also nice. Might have been more exciting if Button's stop had been better.

I'd say Hamilton after being held up several times by Perez, Massa, Webber and Kimi as well as all the passes he made. Yet Vettel did have a massive drive, I'm conflicted.

Anyways sorry for earlier, but you can understand now I'd hope.

Great race and let's hope everything goes smooth in Bahrain for the sake of the drivers, even if the subject is a hot topic.

Driver of the day: Nico Rosberg

Opened a huge lead during the opening laps that Vettel would have been proud of, he was looking like being challenged by Button but after Button's long pit stop he could cruise to the finish. Well Done Nico.

Not sure I can call this the best race. I do know I can call this the best F1 season I've seen so far or in a long time.

I'm a bit dissapointed with Sergio Perez and kimi with thier result... But overall my fav team and drivers are in the lead (GO McLaren!!!!!)

Bad luck for Schumacher and congrats to Nico!!!!

Overall an awesome race.

Arguably, Button's pit botch didn;t affect his finishing position. Schumacher's certainly did.

I feel the same about this ^ I think this race was Nico's to lose from the start especially with the way he opened a massive gap on everyone.

Driver of the race: Sebastian Vettel.

Really? I thought he had an overwhelmingly average race. He struggled to pass anyone for most of it and really only hopped positions when everyone else pitted. His strategy was also poor and ended up losing a great 2nd position towards the end as his tyres went off. Mixture of poor team strategy and really underwhelming driving. The only great thing he did really was not moan about it post-race.

Driver of the race has to be Rosberg. Commanding right the way through. Fantastic passing from Button as usual, and special mention to Grosjean and Maldonado in their little battle too.
