If they only have 4 sets of intermediates, and the conditions stay like this, they wont have enough for the rest of the session and the race tomorrow.
 
Bad luck for Button, would've got into Q2 were it not for the yellow flags.
 
But to be fair he shouldn't have been down in 18th in the first place.

Possibly, but it was raining in sector 3 which slowed him down considerably.

Maybe, but he had a 1.5 second advantage in the 2nd sector, I don't think he would've lost that much time due to the rain.
 
Everyones going off everywhere. Surely just a matter of time before someone hits the wall and red flags the session.

Good job I have based my afternoon around the qualifying and have nothing else to do. Although I may run out of Maltesers.
 
Thing is, cars going around creates a dry line on the road. No cars, no dry line.

So, a red flag kinda defeats the point to create a dry patch on the circuit.

Although it is looking positive monsoon style at the current moment
