The incident only did minor damage to Raikkonen's front wing. Alonso was already pretty much gone at that point. Surely the stewards agree with me, or Raikkonen would be getting investigated.

Look, some people need to go back and read certain posts again. I was merely responding to a pos made by a user who later revealed that he didn't even watch the start. I'm not starting an Alonso witch hunt here.
 
Grandma is sleeping over for the race and we're going to have a french toast breakfast party. She says she wants to see Kamui do "that stupid dance" if he wins.

You can have contact, without getting pulled in for a penalty. So now, instead of doing it all by himself, there was now contact.:sly:
 
They need to bring Massa in asap and onto softs to win and save the race from 'Fettel'.

Mclaren really messed up their pit stop here.

The front wing broke dissipating most of the energy. Alonso was already pretty much gone by that point. I'm not going to argue the toss with you. Just go back and read the bloody posts already.
 
After watching a brilliant Bathurst 1000KM I'm finding this very tedious. 👎

Vettel's the only guy who doesn't seem to shove it in everyone's face, that he's an F1 driver.

McLaren and a few others buy huge yachts and get the most famous models... But Vettel seems nicer.


Besides, Vettel makes races interesting. He can actually properly impress, in a pretty hard field of drivers... And among Grosjean and Maldonaldo.


But, Alonso never seems to win a fair race. It always seems to be an alternator failure, or a penalty that gives Alonso the win. That's not racing. That's politics.

I think it will be Vettel's second Grand Chelem in his career.

Look. For the last time. I was merely responding to someone who was angry at Vettel for "ruining" the championship. Still, it's not Vettel's fault that Alonso had a moment, then had contact with Raikkonen that may or may not have been solely responsible for putting him out of the race. So I was wrong about the contact involving Alonso and Raikkonen. Big deal. You must feel very proud of yourself.

The sharks are at it again. I'll be back when the race is over.

Yes and no. I just don't see the big deal with him. He's not impressive, not flamboyant, he's never going to do miracles with a car that's not 100%... soporific would be the word I'm looking for, a bit like Button. And Schumacher. And Prost.
 
Grosjean we need you to do something for us after your next pitstop...

I'll just point out I didn't say he "ruined" the championship, just made it more predictable. :)

I'm saying that Kimi, Sebastian, and Hamilton can outshine his teammate, often, and when Alonso wins, it always seems like Vettel doesn't finish.

When i race with you, ghs, I don't want you not to finish. I want you to finish second; directly behind me. That's how racing should be. But, Alonso doesn't have that... Chance. He can't win a race that Vettel finishes. It's strange.
