Pretty sure it is mandatory for everyone to switch to wets now. Which will make it interesting strategically.

Yes I know that. But just saying asap smart ones will put interns one becuase there is no need for wets anymore.

They really need X1/X2 styled canopies.

Cause it was rarely used and was a waste of rubber?

How often is the F1 raced in heavyish rain.

Well today, Canada 2011, Malaysia 2009, Japan 2007 and Belgium 1998 would be prime examples.

Seldom used, but still necessary if the conditions are possible.

Ironically, driving in the rain with the X2010/2011 is a nightmare in cockpit view.

At least the drivers wont be wiping the water off their helmet visors each second.

Don't know how much energy is used to make these F1 tires but if they make them at the start of the year and make one set for each driver they will be useless by the mid season because they would have a short shelf life because they are not focused on long life like a normal car tires.

That's funny I thought they were doing it due to the multiple cars spinning off the track. Were we watching the same race?
Excuse me? I never said it was the reason why they stopped the race, just mentioning a correspondence and relating it to the wet tire operating window.

That's obviously coincidence

I always wondered why the X cars don't have 23 coats of Rain-X like the standards do.

But back on topic, at least the cars are rolling again. Here's hoping conditions improve. I think I actually admire the SC driver more than the F1 dudes.

LOL using blowers to dry the pit lane box.

Safety car in this lap.

I hear Merc GP are using Nico's hair dryer to get the pit box ready.

Look, the race hasn't restarted yet and the drivers already want to go to inters. What reason is there for the wet weather tires? Their operating window is too small.

Drive through for car 22.

And Pedro gets another kick in the monsoon region of his racesuit.

Because it is a rule that if the race is restarted behind a safety car you must be on Full Wets.

They should also get his hair curlers out.

There is a difference between operating window and FIA calling the race to be stopped. We don't know their operating window do the latter. The rain was obviously too much for what the tire was designed for.

Did that look like a unsafe release for the Ferrari?

Well four of my picks are nose to tail right now...just not in the order I'd like

OH crap, now I will not defend hrt for a while.

Button crashed, Vettel has no radio.

See? Not even gonna comment on Karth or whatever his name is. Ridiculous.

Okay I agree with you sort of, especially since he took out my driver. However I think it was Button's fault now that I look at it.

What a stupid move from Narain!

Why did Button try to bully the HRT?
