Disapointing race for Lewis, but I'm not sure he would have beaten Vettel. Seb didn't panic when he came in early in the race, and romped it and the end.
Vettel driver of the day.
 
Congrats to Vettel, great drive, but great dissapointment for Hamilton.
 
Vettel may be happy now but he just booked himself a podium interview with Eddie Jordan.
 
Good job Vettel. You deserved it. I actually thought that I would see a race get timed out.
 
Well I'm certainly pleased with that result. 29 points behind Alonso if my calculation is correct. Far from impossible. Good job.
 
I missed how Vettel celebrated in the radio :D

If it weren't for that stupid brake check, I'd actually be happy for Vettel winning.
 
Good job to Vettel for doing what he had to do to keep his championship hopes going. Honorable mention to di Resta for hauling a Force India up to fourth, but my driver of the day goes to Massa. Also, Glock ending up 12th should put Marussia ahead of Caterham in the WCC, if I recall correctly.
 
Fantastic race for Vettel. Kept Hamilton honest in the first half of the race, then showed the strength of the RBR at the end.

Button comes in where he probably expected to be. Only behind the wrong driver.

Alonso loses a little of his lead, but that scrappy third place keeps him well clear of Vettel. All he can hope for now is for Hamikton to limit Vettel's point take over the next few races.

Paul DiResta. Fantastically solid race, solid pace.

Nobody else was really close. Shame for Hamilton and Maldonado. The latter of which earned a little bit of respect today for driving hard and driving fair. His fight with Alonso was one of the highlights of an action-packed evening.

Drive of the race, though, has got to go to Nico Hulkenberg, for taking out both Saubers in one go... Oh, and Felipe Massa. Vindication in making the three pit gamble work where Webber and the others didn't... and for a fnatstic higlight reel overtake on Senna.

He made up 31 points in 2010...so not impossible (although Petrov was impassable).

It was nothing much. I turn off the Japanese commentary so I just get the world feed with no commentary. Iirc, Button just said "what about those restarts? I almost took you out on the first one".

I caught Button saying: "I almost collected you back there" in a jovial tone. I think he doesn't hold any grudge against Vettel for that near-incident.

Of all the things being investigated, I'm surprised they aren't investigating Hulk on Kobayashi. Hulk on Perez was entirely on Perez, but he definitely squeezed Kamui into the wall there.

Ricciardo just didn't do enough. He's out of the championship race. And so are Pastor and Michael.

Interestingly, thanks to Paul DiResta's spectacular race, he's now 11th in the championship, with a shot at tying Alonso for the crown.

I think it's safe to assume that Hamilton's championship is over with.
