However - Logano does seem to be driving increasingly aggressively, encouraging such thought; let's hope, though, he doesn't do anything contrary.

Unfortunate for Gordon - but would he have been there at that moment if not for tire strategy? And it was tires that let him down. It looks like these tires don't like those hard turns under heat.
