I think Montoya is winning a short track coming up. He should of won Richmond and he's very good at Martinsville, where it pays to be aggressive.

He still has one more chance at Richmond and Dover coming up, where he nearly won twice earlier this season. I'm betting Stewart won't beat him this time at Dover. He's also better than most people realize at Martinsville and New Hampshire.

Well Stewart is out for the season :dopey:

Montoya's strongest point has always been Short Tracks along with with Road Courses. I wouldn't count plate races really in that as although EGR used to have a good plate package, lets face it - if FRM can win a plate race, and Scott Speed and Michael McDowell can record high finishes in the Daytona 500, they don't mean that much or give an indicator.

Wasn't Speed's high finish at Talladega, not Ga Daytona? :dopey:

If Truex Jr. needs to get out of the car because of his wrist, we'll see just how good Scott Speed is.

Meanwhile Montoya has had bad luck, otherwise he'd have multiple wins on multiple ovals by now.

Yeah, that was the joke. :dunce:

You missed the most obvious one. Who has only one top ten finish all season? I'll give you a hint, it happened in the Daytona 500...

Some said she drove for SHR - I thought she was in a TBR #10 car, it performs like one :dopey:

What do you say we turn 43 stock cars loose around Atlanta Motor Speedway? That's what is on tap tonight with the NASCAR Nationwide Series.

Best of luck to all drivers and teams tonight in Hampton, GA.

Rumor is that FRR will switch to Ford and become a satellite team for Penske Racing. The driver will be Sam Hornish Jr.

I haven't heard this rumor at all, I heard they were thinking about Toyota.

Nationwide practice/qualifying has(will) been(be) on FS2 today.

This whole FS1/FS2 deal is going to blow up in their faces :sly: when they realize that the ratings will be even lower due to many people not willing to pay $10/month for essentially one channel. 👎

They don't even offer a way to view it online. Not that I'd be able to because I don't know the account for the cable access for sites like NBC Sports Live Extra and SPEED 2. :dunce:

Edit: There are lots of rumors regarding FRR and the #78. One of them I heard was involving Ty Dillon, and that came from a source that's been correct with previous 2014 signings.

Ty Dillon hasn't even run full time in NW yet. That seems too early.

I doubt it would be full time. Austin Dillon has been running part time since he was moved up to the Nationwide Series. I doubt it would fall that way... but with both Mark Martin and Bobby Labonte out of rides, and with one, or both, of them possibly looking for part-time rides next year, I wouldn't rule that possibility out.

Of course, if FRR does change manufacturers, that scenario won't happen.

Doubt it will be full time, will likely follow a similar part time deal Austin had this year while he is in Nationwide if that actually happens.

Have those two been the only drivers to get those times?

I dont trust the cable access stuff online, I've tried it several times for ESPN3 and not dice.

So Austin will get a chance at RCR but not Ty? Perhaps they want to see if he can pull a Kurt Busch in the 78 before the big teams take him?
