I thought all Matt had to do is start the Truck race and he was the champion.

I see that David Reutimann got tired of four door sedan NASCARs, so he made a Subaru Impreza Hatchback NASCAR!

The only way Crafton loses is to finish 2nd to dead last and for Dillon to get max points. Buscher is out.
There aren't 43 trucks in a full field. If he starts the race, it's over. He can't finish worse than 36th.

Hate to hear that about Travis, but I was one of the critics. Now that NASCAR is out, he can figure out more ways to hurt himself rallying (rallycross is OK, but how about an actual rally every once in a while, preferably not one mastered by a Sebastian) or, more likely, while doing more Nitro Circus stuff. Speaking of, why didn't MTV sponsor him at any point?

Tell you what, I'll do you one better: I'll avoid the entire 2014 season. Top that, tough guy :p

Just tells you how boring the sport has become.

Rather it tells me how boring it is to you, which then raises the question if we enjoy but you don't (or enjoy it more than you for the moment), why do you bother to inform us? It's just strange.

It was a response to the championship situation which was on topic. Is it an issue for you? :odd:

NASCAR is the only racing series I watched the last couple of months, mainly because the titles of other series have long been all but decided.

I still say the racing season across the world is too long. Nobody should be racing mid November. Everything should have wrapped up over a month ago.

2014 is shaping up to be one of the best seasons EVER...

Same crap I heard earlier in the year (and even made the mistake of buying into) and it turns out apart from far faster laps and cars not looking like bricks with wheels, its been the same thing.

No nascar said they're trying to improve the package, I'm sure it'll be MUCH MUCH BETTER

I had another brainwave, does the F1 season normally end after NASCAR finishes up?

Not quite. Its the USGP next week (that'll make Gordon and Button mad again ), then the Brazilian GP.

They've said a lot of things. The schedule is good enough proof how often they actually do what they say.

You must have drank the NASCAR Kool-Aid (or some other beverage) at some point, because most people with half a brain know that anything NASCAR says regarding "improving the competition" is nothing but a half-assed attempt to try and draw a few fans back to the rapidly declining sport. :dopey:

I AGREE!! AND I'm really tired of seeing the advertisement of Jimmie Johnson's championships being compared to Richard Petty and Dale Earnhardt's. They won their championships by dominating the entire season, not hanging around the top 12 and getting a second chance to start over. There's little to no RACING left in this era. You can't compare the B/S era to the Modern era OR the classical era, JJ's championships are not the same.

Well from your past comments on NASCAR in this thread and finding it boring as well as this new comment that was open to interpretation because it didn't read anything other than a general way of saying "yeah, boring NASCAR glad I stopped watching it when I did."

Obviously for us that watch it in and out every weekend regardless of JJ winning next week or not, it's not all that boring. It was a great season either way and I don't think anyone was predicting Kenseth to be this strong in his first season at Gibbs.

This has only started in recent years due to the extended calendar, but I think NASCAR started early this season.

Could be wrong.

I'd trust PD's ambitions far sooner than I'd trust NASCAR/France Family BS. Doesn't matter to you though, you've always been quite the gullible type that average NASCAR fans tend to be. Problem is you try to punch above your weight.

And that's the problem with a point system where everyone scores...

Then again, at this particular moment I don't mind it. Not because Crafton's winning it, but because Dillon's going to lose it. :)
