When a Chevrolet wins in motorsports, some where up there Dale Earnhardt must be smiling.

I'm just going to come right out and say this.

You ever hear that joke that says something along the lines of light travels faster than sound, that's why some people appear bright before they speak?

Yeah, fits you well.

 I'm gonna use this first chance I get.

It's not new, thought everyone knew about it. :p

No idea what that saying means but anyhow....do we know the mechanics for Ty and Austin Dillon at Richard Childress Racing, for J J Yelley at Tomy Baldwin Racing?

After this post, Furi will say "LEGACY DOES NOT EXIST" with the biggest possible font, red color, bold and underlining.

I love coming into this thread. Never really any discussion on NASCAR, just 20 people egging on you-know-who.

Never seen more borderline off-topic discussion carried on for so long before.

Agreed

I enjoy it as well.

Not our fault that when the thread settles down and nobody posts, the next post to bump it back to the top is completely meaningless banter by you-know-who.

About Legacies:

My arse would leave more of a legacy on NASCAR than half of ICEYOU's.

Now on a differing note, are there any changes to the NW COT planned? Or will we still have the car we have now? I mean we have a TOT in 2014...

I thought they already made the changes for 2013.

I get the feeling this guy is the sort of person that you should never teach new words, because he then proceeds to abuse the hell out of it without ever actually using it meanfully.

Other then the switch from the Impala to the Camaro for Chevy (I want to buy whoever finally convincedthem to do so the most beer money can buy BTW), I haven't really heard anything regarding changes.

I just realized something hilarious: If the format for the Shootout is something we don't like, we can just blame the fans

Whenever ICEYOU types the word "legacy", take a shot of fabric softener. Sure, you'll be dead within the hour, but at least your brain will be cleansed of him.

:D I'll pass and just ignore him the old fashion way

Hopefully NASCAR doesn't forget about attempting to break up the "tandem drafting" in the Nationwide series for 2013 and beyond, although they still manage it with the mismatched bumpers. The solution is hopefully simple: larger restrictor plates and smaller rear spoilers as a starting point.

Honestly I'd cut off about 50 MPH for all tracks (Outside of the short tracks) by lowering engine size. It gets rid of bump drafting, the smaller teams will have a lower bar to be competitive at, more safety, and who knows, it might be easier for NASCAR to promote its "Going Green" campaign.
Sure, it would cost team owners money at first, but the Gen 6 has probably cost owners twice as much as a smaller engine program would, and as a fan there really isn't much difference between a car going 150 mph and a car going 200 mph.

Only a Joe Nemechek would be in favor of slowing down the cars :sly:

If you slow the top series down, you have to slow the others as well. Smaller engine size doesn't necessarily mean slower speeds.
