No, he spun by himself, possibly on order from the "butt"clown himself Michael Waltrip, primarily to help Truex, which had the (probably unintended) side effect of hurting Gordon.

Exactly what Paul Menard did 2 years ago.

Clint Bowyer is full of BS.

OHH BOY HERE WE GO

Junior confirms Clint is lying and Mule is right.

Junior also brings up a good point about the telemetry to show where Clint's Brakes and gas inputs. Lets see him lie against that. And as much as I find the whole thing is crazy, his gas and brake inputs is very suspicious. Ironic given the team he drove for before MWR did the same thing (though it was hilariously obvious going off the radio).

So the only person people should blame is Michael Waltrip and Clint Bowyer I guess. I'm okay with Bowyer the boss is the boss. Waltrip(s) are a joke to me so whatever.

Maybe people will stop taking the knee jerk reaction from the commentators and just wait. Which is obviously better since it uncovered a good conspiracy.

Junior isn't a dummy he just sucks at talking on TV after races, we also know if he actually spun him he would have said so. What gets me is that not only would Bowyer lie but then blame a fellow driver to cover the BS Waltrip created. Also his[Waltrip] comments on another driver just being business helps me further see the mentality of Waltrip and wanting to win.

A team boss that I am starting to hate nearly as much as a third of the F1 team bosses.

Remember that MWR is the team that got caught toying with fuel additives (a big no-no) back in '07.

Probably not happy that Bowyer did what NASCAR is accused of doing themselves, altering the race with questionable late-race cautions.

How was Carl NOT black-flagged for that final restart? That was JJ-vs-Montoya at Dover all over again, only there was no penalty.

So here's how the positions look for the chase reset:

1. Matt Kenseth
2. Jimmie Johnson
3. Kyle Busch
4. Kevin Harvick
5. Carl Edwards
6. Joey Logano
7. Greg Biffle
8. Clint Bowyer
9. Dale Earnhardt Jr
10. Kurt Busch
11. Kasey Kahne
12. Martin Truex Jr.

On this basis, I may decide to watch as I'm interested in seeing if Kenseth can continually give Johnson hell.

John Darby says NASCAR believes there was no intentional spin on Clint Bowyer’s part. He said Bowyer would not throw away the points lead.

wat

I never had much of an opinion on Kurt before when he was kind of a turd. But he's matured beyond his years and made the Chase with second tier equipment. I think I'm actually pulling for him to win it all.

Edit: Not sure how Carl wasn't penalized on that final restart. And I don't know how Bowyer could possibly know if intentionally spinning himself would help Truex out or hurt Gordon. With those final pit stops and flurry of a finish, anything could have happened.

Yep, the points lead which he wouldn't have anyways since the points reset after this past race. Darby needs to read the NASCAR rulebook sometime. Pretty sure after tonight he has lost a hold of his senses.

Like the points lead after this race concluded meant anything....

Hmm... I sense hostility. I went out, so I saw bits of the race on TV(with crap captions). I didn't see the last 20 laps, I caught it just when Carl was flipping, saw Truex was in, Gordon and Newman were out, and shrugged.

As for the title, I think it'd be funny if Harvick or Kurt Busch were to win it.

1. I hope Jimmie wins every single Chase race (for the lulz)
2. I hope Boywer gets backed into the fence every single Chase race.

If that was Bowyer's call, I agree. If it was Michael's call, he should lose all championship points for both drivers.

If he wins a 6th title, prepare to be mobbed

From what I heard on TV, NASCAR made a judgment call. Oddly consistent with yesterday but not with what happened at Dover.

Personally, this was the least egregious of the three.

Even still, Bowyer is ultimately the one behind the wheel.

But him and the entire #15 team need to be docked major driver & owner points. No way they deserve a realistic chance at a championship after that garbage.

That makes no sense what points lead, and even if he had that, the damn thing resets next week anyways. He was guaranteed his spot 3 damn weeks ago. NASCAR is a 🤬 joke.

John Darby really knows the rules very well to make such a brilliantly braindead statement. Wonder if Michael slipped him a few Benjamins to make that comment.

Who knows, I hope tomorrow or Monday we here NASCAR take action.

I bet if Jeff actually made the chase, none of you would be complaining about Bowyer, Carl, John Darby, Michael Waltrip, ect.

Probably would still be pissed it was intentional. Doesn't matter if Jeff made it or didn't. One driver at least was screwed by a car spinning towards the inside grass after cutting a right front tire....
