Landon sure has got the short end period for some reason, I like the kid but eh it is what it is.

BK seems to just try but more like bulls eye for Danica this year as they always run together.
 
BK Racing co-owner Ron Devine has responded to the lawsuit filed by former driver Landon Cassill, alleging that the team failed to pay him $145,000 in guaranteed 2012 base salary and an additional $60,000 for other services rendered to the team. "He had some things he wanted us to agree to that we weren't willing to do," said Devine. "One of them was (agreeing) that he was the number-one, full-time starter. We had three drivers (who) shared the rides last year and we were set to do that again. We have aspirations of putting a third car on the track (in 2013). We're trying as hard as we can to get the (No.) 73 on the track, but we're just not there yet. "We were not prepared to run three cars& and when I went to the other two drivers and said they would have to share the ride, they were fine with it. When we talked to Landon, he didn't want to do that. We were trying to work something out with all three of the drivers where they could share the (monetary) pool, no matter who was driving the car," he explained. "Landon didn't want to do that. I understand that he's young and wants to run every week, but we felt that for the size of our team, it was better for us to have a stable of three (drivers) and share the ride. Devine said the dispute over Cassill's 2012 pay was not a factor in his decision to part company for 2013. Attorney Adam Ross has been hired to represent the team, and Devine said he is crafting a response to the suit that will be filed in the near future.(in part from Godfather Motorsports)(3-22-2013)
The bold part was a pretty big lie, in 2012 the 93 and the 83 were ran by Kvapil and Cassill respectively in every race, Reuity ran the 73 at Daytona and Darlington.

The same could be applied to all NASCAR drivers though...
 
Part of that's the length of NASCAR races, the other is the disparity between F1 teams, but NASCAR poles have been generally useless come race time.

Also, I'm certain the paintjob has been used already, but the red on Harvick's Jimmy Johns car, for some stupid reason, exudes a "war-paint" look to me.

^ Exactly and with nearly the entire top ten being in the chase...Gordon is still going to need the more luck than he has seen in the past 3 years to make this happen.

NASCAR qualifying is utterly meaningless compared to F1 qualifying. Just look at what "Sea Bass" has done in F1 this year compared to NASCAR pole sitters.
To say that qualifying is meaningless is absolutely silly, if you get good starting spot you'll get a good pit selection and you'll be up front in clean air too. You probably wouldn't even be saying that if your boy Kyle Busch was up there.

Ignore is a simple feature if you have an issue, like I said Gordon has done enough to warrant such a comment. Also Dave is right quali means little when you have such a long race and little difference between the cars. A damn car could start on pole and win and hell even the same car could probably start from dead last and win, there isn't much disparity when we talk top teams.

Get over it, your driver came in on probably the only luck he's had in years, don't like how blunt I am, that's too bad.

Yes, pit box selection has a purpose. The points order resolve that. I don't think F1 has pit stall selection based on qualifying?

The talking heads in the booth being amazed about the average speed in the qualifying lap, is getting old as well. Top speed reached is more interesting, instead of the results of a time over distance calculation.


Local morning radio was just mildly mocking how locals wig out over roundabouts, when many of us have never been in one. Danica's name was tossed in for a giggle.
 
Speaking of the Bristol game, it's probably gonna break the record held by Michigan for most attended sports game (Excludes car racing). The field's probably gonna be in the infield, and the games gonna be Virginia Tech vs. Tennessee

And that's why getting the pole is meaningful. Once you earn it, you have the best shot to win the race. There's a lot of disparity you of all people should know that.

You obviously haven't been taught about tact. Gordon earned his chase position fair and square, was robbed and given a second chance. He is making the most of it, moving his way up in points every week just about.

No you don't if the race was a third of the distance perhaps but to say in a race that is 400 to 500 miles long in cars that don't have any gap really toward performance. Other than being in the Shootout at Daytona that pole means little to nothing come race day, especially when the other 9 top ten cars are just as fast as you or may prove faster. You cant quantify a single lap and give claim for 400 miles, and to be honest you only seem to be doing so because you don't like the negative vibe we're giving your driver.

No no no. Your really the only one who's been really giving the negative vibe about Jeff, not the others. Your right, I agree with you to an extent, but yes you can quantify a qualifying run for a long race especially if you get a good qualifying spot it'll translate for a good spot on pit road. The car's performance may decline during the 400 - 500 mile race and there might even be cars that might be better in the progress of a run, but that can be made up by good adjustments and excellent pit stops to stay in contention for the win. You need to qualify good inorder to make the best of a good or bad weekend/day in this sport PERIOD.

Nope. The order of the F1 pitlane is based on the team's finishing position in the previous season's Constructors Championship (NASCAR equivalent would be team's points, I guess); first place gets the first pit stall, second gets the second and so on. New teams are put at the far end. There's more to it than just pitlane order - if I remember rightly the garages at the beginning are bigger than those at the end at some tracks.
