I just saw the Grand-Am commercial and most of those guys were wearing helmets but not all of them.

Probably coverage from last year but ...........??

Simple question but what manufacturers will be at the Rolex 24 that aren't already here in each class? Right now is BMW, Chevy and Ford in DP.

Well, Ferrari, Porsche, Audi and Mazda are only running in the gt cars. If that's what you mean. :dunce:


Porsche #30 has hit something. Left front tyre is ****ed.
 
Rooting for Ferrari in GT and Fords in DP here...the Fords are having a bad weekend :grumpy:

Hard to tell, it will be a combined series with ALMS next year.

No one knows right now if Lamborghini or nissan will be there (though realistically, I don't see either coming next year). Aston Martin However will be for sure as they'll be part of the GTE class that'll be part of the merger.

Nah, front-mounted radiator, coolant leaking on track. Also mentioned it already 10 minutes ago. :D (thou, mistook it for tyre aswell))

No such thing yet, it's just like every other Corvette DP out there.

I'm pretty sure it is the same body from last year, didn't they just introduce it then?

Hard to believe (still) that they won it last year (although I do remember it).

Look at that, the 10 could pass the 01 very soon.

And Ferraris have decided they don't want to make turn 1.
 
That was a perfect example of shoddy braking in Turn 1.
 
63 Essentially loses 2 minutes for that move.

44 only has one taillight. Thankfully its daytime or else it could be mistaken for a motorcycle :dopey:.
 
About the helmets.
As we figured, not mandated.

From a Grand-Am.com page.
Eight people are allowed over the wall: four to work on the car (1-4), the new driver if there is a driver change (7), an individual toassist in the driver change (8), the old driver (6) and a person with a fire extinguisher (5). All eight must wear full fire-retardant suits. Helmets are not mandatory.

That's the tire we just put on the Audi.
