As a matter of interest: what makes you guys love enduros? Most of you were here last year, too, IIRC, when the Dinger pulled it off. One of the things that interest me strongly is how the machines perform.

For me it's the variety of cars, and quite simply the length of the races. For example i will always choose to see a sportscar race over formula one because sports car racing has so many more variables. Plus one 24 hour race is longer than an entire F1 season.

Time is ticking for me but it's stuck on a yellow and lap info.

When it hits about 3 hours and 20 seconds it'll loop back to 3 hours and 45 remaining. :)

Judging by your avatar, you have nothing to be worried about. You have the best drivers in the field and a power boost over every other car.

You miss understood. I don't really care about the Porsches. Those Mazda6's are the only exciting thing about the GX class this year. I was actually saying there's too many Porsches. Although, it seems as if the number of Porsches is dwindling. I know a few Porsches teams last year switched to a different car this year.

Interesting enough, it is VW/Audi/Porsche vs. Fiat at the moment. And if the R8 is successful, we might see more of them and less of the Porsches.

I'm watching that first feed and listening Radio Le Mans commentary http://radiolemans.0157.org/nplayer.php on the side. And checking the latter feed every once in a while.

Forgot to mention that the first feed also, somewhat, works with the PS3 aswell. so if you want to watch the feed from your telly, give it a try.

Ha, anything can happen, and I don't take anything foregranted until the flag drops.

It does look like they've cocked up the BOP a little bit, the BMW is pretty much driving away from everbody, but that shouldn't detract from the great job Ganassi Racing do, and the talent of (some of) the drivers!

With the merger happening, one has to wonder what a team that dabbles in both series like Extreme Speed will do. Essentially, they've got themselves enough manpower to pull off a 4 car effort for both GT classes.

Edit: #2 is having throttle problems.

Also, dammit that curb riding is loud.

Good question, I'm a huge fan of Endurance/Sports car racing, no matter if it's Grand-Am, ALMS, WEC, VLN, etc I love the cars, the tracks, the drivers, the teams, and the overall atmosphere and "passion" if you will. There's just something about doing 200 mph at 3 A.M. In traffic after running all day that appeals to me and I have massive respect for every driver. Oh and the racing is usually pretty close and there is always something cool happening somewhere. I mean I like NASCAR, Indycar, F1, etc but in my opinion they don't even come close to endurance racing.

I can understand this - especially the part about the 'passion'. This is both about man and machine, and how well the drivers synch with the car. Of course, when it's a shared effort, there are many other factors to consider when one is talking sheer 'endurance'.

Likewise for me - an enduro is a good 'car-fix' for me - the amazingly beautiful machines they bring out year after year, the challenges they meet, engineering-wise - and then of course the length of the race makes for some heated racing all over the track.
Then when it comes down to the final battle, and the machines are maxed out, and the top jockeys are given the steeds, the race to the finish line can be a nail-biter that's a fitting climax to the long wait.

2 has no front brakes and is missing some floor along w/ throttle issues.


I imagine the teams will do whatever would pay more and/or cost less?
 
My guys at PPM moving up steadily. Currently in 24th & 28th; 15th & 18th in class. :)👍
