World Car Fans
Shelby American has unveiled their Super Snake package for the 2013 Ford Mustang GT500.

Set to be showcased at the Barrett-Jackson collector car auction in Las Vegas, the car features a fiberglass hood, a Borla exhaust and 20-inch alloy wheels with high-performance tires. There's also a sport-tuned suspension, Wilwood brakes and an upgraded cooling system. The model can also be equipped with an optional 13-inch wide rear tire and wheel package which was featured on the Carroll Shelby Tribute car that debuted at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance.

Interior changes are limited but include embroidered headrests and floor mats as well as other "Shelby-designed components."

The entry-level model has a supercharged 5.8-liter V8 engine that develops 662 hp (494 kW / 671 PS) and 631 lb-ft (855 Nm) of torque. If that's not powerful enough, the engine can be equipped with a Whipple or Kenne Bell supercharger that enables it to produce a staggering 850 hp (634 kW / 862 PS).

Production will be limited to 500 units and pricing starts at $28,995 for the entry-level package. Moving up to the high-performance variant costs a wallet busting $39,995.

Oh yeah, nothing like a body kit and overpriced modifications to make some cash. Having a Shelby badge certainly doesn't hurt either! "Limited" to 500 units

Herp derp it says Super Snake 'cause they're super cool...

Though I must say $40,000 for 662 horses is far from breaking the wallet.

Uhh, I'm pretty sure it's 40k for the package, not the entire car  Sorry to burst your bubble.

Son of a...

Damn Ford. A car in every driveway my ass.

They better be having Da Vinci making these cars from his grave if they want me to pay for that.

Which was the one which was supposed to have 1000 Horsepower? I thought thats what the Super Snake was supposed to be...

^^^No that was the 1000 and 1000 S/C. 1000 had 950 (street legal), the 1000 S/C had 1100hp and was track only.
