http://blog.eu.playstation.com/2013...4-corvette-stingray-final-prototype-revealed/

This just popped up on the Sony Facebook Page. Free DLC "This Week" for the 2014 corvette

Yep, there's a GT5 maintenance tomorrow AND a Playstation Store update that will carry the C7 Corvette. Rumor has it that Willow Springs may become available as well. :sly:

Why are people putting there names down. I mean really your going to be able to get the car free tommorrow after the update or when the playstation network updates, so there is NO reason to be put on a list.

It's so me, myself, I, the OP, can keep track of who's interested in the cars/tune/paint/etc. There's the door...:dunce:

Deductive reasoning mate? I'm not sure you fully grasp that concept? If you did you would understand why you can not replicate something that's not real. Deductive reasoning:idea:.:sly:

As to math. You are using statistics that apply for a Ls3, and trying to use them on a LT-1. Remember the LT-1 is direct injection, that will change your percentages all around.

And you're trying to be offensive to all those that can't grasp your faulty logic?

So really mate best of luck, you will need it. 👍

The C6 ZR1 wasn't officially announced until 2 years after the original launch of the C6, so you're more than welcome to wait until then, but it's obvious by this thread that there's more than just me interested in dreaming about what it could drive like.

Otherwise, people are interested in it because I've always put out good cars, regardless of whether they're replicas or tuners. I'm basing my car off of a few factual equations based on the existing C6 Corvette and the relationship between the Base C6 and the ZR1 C6.

Specifications (based on existing C6)

Base C6: 400hp / 424tq / 3,245 lbs.
ZR1: 638hp / 604tq / 3,350 lbs.
Horsepower (C6 ZR1 over Base C6): +157%
Torque (C6 ZR1 over Base C6): +142.45%
Curb Weight (C6 ZR1 over Base C6): +103.24%

2014 C7 Corvette Stingray

Horsepower: 450hp
Torque: 450tq
Curb Weight: 3,109 lbs.

So, BASED on the above math, my 2014/2016 C7 Corvette ZR1 will be as follows:

Horsepower: 707hp
Torque: 641tq
Curb Weight: 3,210 lbs.

This has been your annual lesson in deductive reasoning and arithmetic. Next time you think you have to have someone else tell you the facts before you can consider the potential, please stop and think about how the designing engineers will come to their conclusions and ultimately the end product.
The thing is you can theorize all you want. You still don't know.

The most funny part in this thread is the amount of people that have an opinion about how Amblo2u should run his thread, tune his car or how he needs to play his GT5.

Really useless information guys, and consider how you would react when a bunch of smartass (kids) joined your thread just for some mass complaining?

If the thread shouldn't have been here, I'm convinced a moderator would have moved it, closed it or posted in it.

Nothing more to add....

Agree with you 100% here. You can't replicate something that isn't even made yet.

I can tell you resorting to insults in a thread will get the attention of moderators. If you can't post without doing that, expect consequences.

From my understanding of these types of threads, it's perfectly fine for it to remain in the marketplace. It is a bit disingenuous to refer to this as a "replica" or a "ZR1" though, as it's neither; it's simply one person's randomly-decided tune for a still-unreleased car in GT5, to say nothing of what sort of tuning will even be possible in game.

Agreed. I don't think anyone even read the OP. I never said it was a "replica" in the first place. I just don't want to wait 2 years for a ZR1...so I've broken out some trigonometry to satisfy my hunger and daydreamed aloud. LOL. 👍

*removed*

Anyhow, I'll have finalized gear ratios here pretty soon...I keep getting a headache due to the 6 -> 7 speed conversions. :dopey:

I`m expecting a nice tuning for a fast car. Of course it can`t be a "real replica" because of the reasons named above - but that`s just too obvious to start a discussion.

Please no more

I've adjusted the title to suit...👍

........and this!!! 👍

It's a game!!! Let's play with it how we want to, and do with it what we wish to.

...so tossing out more insults in the form of calling anybody who doesn't share your view "trolls" is your response? 👎

Totally agree with you.

I speak for me, myself and I ... very appreciated.
Keep up the good working.

I don't know why you think I'm attacking anyone who doesn't like my opinion, because I'm not. I've agreed with everyone for the most part, edited the OP to show a contingency plan if it's not tradeable, answered how I'm basing it off of existing differences in the C6 through deductive reasoning, etc.

How else do I deflect commentary when I'm being attacked or told how to play?

This 'playinthru' character is a troll. He's derailed my thread. Last time I checked, this is the marketplace, not a formal debate forum. I created the thread to 'market' my tune/etc in a 'place' where I know most everyone who frequents it. Everyone here is usually very respectful and helpful, always contributing positively. For a couple of guys to come in and derail it, then have YOU back them up, is BS.

Now I'm getting PM's from 'playinthru' calling me a 'bully' and a 'little man'?

Who else here in the Marketplace has dome business with me, raced with me, had fun doing so, and never had a single complaint from me that wasn't constructive?

I'm out. I wish you luck with your Corvette, but having read through it all there's not much point. This topped it off 👍

Corvette is a final prototype that cannot be tuned or modified in any way so I would say it is over

Yep, looks like you're right. I had a feeling that this was going to be the case as it is a final prototype and not a production model.

Wow....this is pretty disappointing! Make that VERY disappointing.

No tuning, pretty much virtually the same car as the proto, minus the appearance, and the transmission...ugh. So much for 7 gears! 6th gear seems to be even higher up than the proto (up somewhere in like 215MPH+), and 7th is virtually unobtainable, unless you are in a crazy draft (still need to try this. I'm testing the top speed solo on Route X, next will be in a draft).

Was seriously looking forward to making a 800+HP beast that could match or beat my tuned ZR1. The ZR1, even not RM'd, is pretty damn amazing. Yes it understeers, but it's still so good! I was daydreaming about painting the C7 Matte red and have a sick aerokit and rims to go with it.

And again, ugh.....the transmission! A corvette with 7 gears sounds amazing! Yet it isn't in the game since they :censored:ed up the transmission. I can't imagine the real life gears being that damn high!

Kinda hoping they will update it with all the regular tuning options we are used too soon. My only theory is that, perhaps, since it's brand spanking new, they didn't actually have every single detail needed to make the car "truer" to life than what it is. Perhaps they had to estimate what all the settings where. Who's to say Chevy didn't withhold this info?

But the question remains, why is it called a "Final Prototype"? It seems to be anything but a prototype!

What, it's still not officially in production?

EDIT: No such thing as automerge on here, huh?

It uses the exact gearing philosophy of every Corvette made since the 1990 ZR1, so it isn't surprising in the least if the top two gears are cruising gears. That's probably why they put the 7-speed in it in the first place.

Interesting. but still, they seem far too high ingame. The car isn't made to go like 260MPH, yet 7th gear is pretty much around there.

Buy a C6 Z06 in the game and look at what the stock gearing is for that. You'll see the same thing.

BUMMER!

I'm sorry for wasting everyone's time with this thread, daydreaming away. Perhaps GM will release full specs closer to the time of production, allow tuning, and we can all get to personalizing it however we'd like.

Sure does stink they won't even let us paint it...I don't see how that could hurt it.
