Not all about the drivers though... at least for some of us :)
 
Esteban Ocon and Adderley Fong will do their part to keep Lotus and Sauber afloat, with runs in FP1. Jolyon Palmer and Richard Goddard will pretend that they're relevant by running for Force India during the post-race test.
 
As long as double points isn't a factor I don't care who wins.
 
I just want to watch a grood race. Whoever wins it's irrelevant to me. I'd like to see someone outside Mercedes in the highest position in the podium. But that's almost impossible.


I think:

1. If Hamilton gets the pole, he'll give his everything to win.
2. If Rosberg gets the pole and a good start, Hamilton will play safe and bring the car home in 2nd.
 
Lewis will have car trouble at the last lap, prompting the release of rush 2, 20 years from now in which Leo di caprio will play Nico Rosberg (Leo does not age) and finally win his oscar, breaking the internet and creating a black hole that will finally reveal Bernie is not human.

or Lewis will win this easily idk.

I'm pushing for Nico in the Championship battle, but I'm still an Alonso fan. Ferrari and him have decided to split after 5 years. I never really liked Vettel, so I don't think I'll be supporting Ferrari too much from now on. Will be interesting to see how he fares against Raikkonen though. Either way, it's been an interesting year in F1, with the races still being very exciting despite Mercedes leading the pack by a long shot. Bring on next year I say!
 
Well I've always wanted to see Rosberg in a car that's capable of winning races, and now he's got one and in the championship hunt, I can't help but think I want Hamilton to take the championship. I've always liked Rosberg and always believed he could prove himself as one of the fastest out there, but I do think the man who wins the most races should win the championship.
Either way whoever wins, it's been a great season :)
 
And then there's me, sad that Danny Ricciardo could make a final race miracle happen and still be too far behind to win the championship.

Nico has always seemed extremely defensive when talking about dirty racing this year... Senna school. He's got to learn to deadpan it like Lewis. :lol:

FP1 overview/write-up on the Beeb for those who didn't see it; interesting to note that the two fastest drivers swapped times through the session and that another team suffered bodywork failures on both their cars.
 
Grosjean gets a 20-place grid penalty for a variety of component changes. If he can't serve the full penalty on the grid, the stewards can give him time penalties depending on how many grid places he has to carry over.

So if he gets P8 in quali, for example, that puts him 20th + a time penalty for the 8 places he can't drop... do we know how much time that might be? It's possible that it could be a factor in the all-important finishing positions if one or both of the WDC contenders end up out of predicted position.
 
Want Hamilton to win it this weekend, he completely deserves it and would be a shame if reliability came in to it as well..

5 seconds per position possibly? I see anything more than that per spot being excessive.
 
I don't blame Nico at all for what he said in the press conference; he was surely referring back to Bahrain, where Lewis's defence got increasingly desperate. With so much at stake, I can understand him being concerned that Lewis will do the same again. But rather conveniently people seem to forget Bahrain.
 
People forget Bahrain because nothing notable happened apart from Nico using an engine mode he wasn't supposed to but that's another matter.
