I'm amazed how a team which has had such a strong squad and controlled pretty much every competitive game they've played in for the last 6 years or so are about to get knocked out so early on.

Jesus, that was close to 3

Alexis Sanchez is an awesome player... I wonder if he'd fancy relocating to Merseyside?
Yes, certainly over that horrible city called Barcelona.
Never mind the fact he was truly class this year in Barca's La Liga defeat. He'll stay there longer.

Also, I have no words for Spain. None.

The Spanish are getting frustrated.

I have...

It's the Dutch in 2012 all over again, but with Spain... That was an awful tornament from Spain.

Where's that 6 minutes come from?!

So, the Netherlands - Chile should be a great match to watch. Depending on the result from group A, who wants to take on Brazil?

6 minutes extra time!?!?!?!? What a load of crap.

6 minutes is too much time. But then again, Spain probably won't score in 6 minutes with how they've been playing...

It's the same number of minutes that came out of nowhere in the Real-Atletico final.

RIP Tika-Taka 2006-2014....bye bye Spain..bye bye...

6 minutes? Should be closer to 10 with the amount of time wasting from Chile.

Great performance from Chile.

And a really interesting WC so far... so much better than 2010.

Fabulous performance by Chile, but who would have thought Spain would have been so bad this year?!

Great shot of that Brazilian fan with the iPad.

El Rey ha Muerto...

In a very PATHETIC FASHION...

Even worse than Italy on the last World Cup...

Fantastic by Chile...

Chile v Holland should be a cracking game :)

So this is the second straight World Cup where the defending champ is eliminated in group play.

Hihi... Spain is now gone. Amazing! Chile v Netherlands will be awsome.

Does this end up being the start of one of those 'redemption' films?
If they could afford a cinema back in Spain.

So we've seen France storm to victory in 1998 and promptly crash out at the first hurdle next time, Italy storm to victory in 2006 and promptly crash out at the first hurdle next time, and Spain storm to victory in 2010 and promptly crash out at the first hurdle next time.
So if you're a World Cup player and you're reading this, here's a tip.
Don't win the World Cup.
(Of course my favourites are immune to this since their team is so young and wonderful anyway)

Spain were hot but now they are a bit Chile....................ill get my coat!

Goodnight people, chat tomorrow...
