What sorcery is happening on this pitch?!

5 changes since the last game apparently.

Let's go South Korea! 3-1

The Empire Republic strikes back.

And Algeria once again has a 3 goal lead. 4-1 Algeria.

So. Many. Goals.

'Islam Slimani'. Sounds rather cool, that name.
And I know he's much loved too. This has been nice from Algeria. They're in great position now.

I don't like him :grumpy: (envy...)
Don't worry. I'm not a Sporting guy either.
I liked Porto whilst they were still brilliant (Deco was my fav). But haven't really backed them since the 2012-13 Porto-Benfica decider. That was something else.
Or maybe I still just hate Benfica. That much I do know.

4-2 FT. What a brilliant game!

Can we be friends? I'm a huge Benfica fan and I hate Porto.

Can't say I like Deco after UEFA Cup final of 2003. :(

So I've offended half the thread :p
How about I offend the other half by saying that Portugal will use their determination to beat USA to set up a three way matchup for the top spots.
Germany blows USA out of the water, whilst Ghana and Portugal play out an epic in which Gyan scores a late winner to send them through.
The football world rejoices, and all is right with the world.

Good enough?

Probably... Exchange a thing or two there and we're talking (I don't belive Portugal going through)

I really think that Ronaldo might be the X-factor in this game. If the US contains him well (while remembering to cover everyone else), the US will probably win. But if Ronaldo can use his speed to get through the US lines, Portugal could win.

Did you guys see the BBC1 intro for the USA Portugal game?

World Cup Death Star approaching the ISS ......... with Darth Ronaldo

Actually, the fact that Cristiano is playing is a good thing for the USA.

It would be better if they ditched him altogether and planned their game in a whole different way.

Having said that, there might be a surprise, but I very much doubt it.

We can argue the toss about the ethics of having the World Cup in Brazil, but this has been a brilliant tournament so far. The most unpredictable, most entertaining and free scoring competition I've ever seen.

Which, incidentally, are all things that have nothing to do with the organizaton or place where the WC is being held. :p

This is the sad problem.

Nani?!?!!
Portugal-chan 1-0 up. This is so going according to plan.

Clint is trying really hard to tie this game up.

Loving the look of the US here.

On yourself lads. :D

USA look the better team and the Portuguese look nervous at the back....

....well done to Algeria earlier, fantastic result for them...

So they just had a water break and found that the clock wasn't stopped. Mark Lawrenson declared that there is "even less football", it seems that he hasn't heard what the concept of stoppage time is....

One of the saves of the tournament by Howard there!

The portuguese are a complete wreck... First Postiga, now André Almeida and against Germany was Hugo Almeida and Fábio Coentrão and don't foget Ronaldo! We're doomed. Gladly Nani is doing ok-ish.

In this competiton more than ever, it seems none of the officials can accurately judge stoppage...for legit reasons or FIFA Fixing honest mistakes.

Blame the people responsible for organizing the preparation (physic condition of the players) of the tournament. :) I think the major problem was that. Germany were there 10 days before, trainning in the worse conditions. Portugal went to USA to play a couple of boring games and then went to a place in Campinas where the weather is pretty "nice". lol
