He is deciding to change lines pretty late, by the same coin though it's allowing Bottas to really show he has something worth looking at.
 
Nico has a chance to come back at the end, since he has more speed down the straight. His best chance, paradoxically, might come while diving down at the chicane he's missed twice already.

Should be exciting when he tries!
 
Hope Bottas doesn't get past anytime soon, nothing much happening elsewhere.
 
Does Perez have a brake problem as well as his high fuel use? Brake dust every time he stops at the chicane.

And Bottas is through. Magnusson now has a bunch of other guys who want to get past. And a penalty. That was marginal... but Bottas was visibly ahead at the apex and even on the exit, so there isn't much excuse.
 
Penalty for Magnussen justified, I think, when you see the control that Massa TOG was able to exercise in a very similar situation.

Hard, but fair, and required I think to show that there is a line.

Horrible commentary. One mistake from Rosberg does not turn the tide of the championship in Hamilton's favour.
