This looks to be a cracking race went they restart, BBC better stick with it.

Here's the latest on the Finn's condition from a Ferrari spokesman:

"Kimi is OK. He got a big hit, he got out which is a good sign. He has some bruises and is now in the medical centre. The bruises are on his knees and ankle and he will be back very soon."

Yes, he did. He put his right foot down instead of his left.
Alonso did the same at Abu Dhabi, Petrov's done it, Webber's done it. I don't think it occurs to you that you could fly off, let alone lose control because of a drainage. I don't remember seeing a driver brake in a similar situation.

Mistake? Maybe. Stupid? No.

What about Monaco quali? Nico made a mistake. I hope you're not implying anything else without evidence. And Hamilton made a mistake in quali at Austria. Funny how you're not raising questions about that.

Enough bloody excuses already.
Wouldn't be the first time. It's comments like that from him and others that keep me out of discussions.

Fittipaldi = Ledge.

Watching the BBC coverage and Emerson just made some great comments about Jenson. Ultimately I'd trust the opinion of a driver over a team boss any day.
What'd he say?

Monza is fine, they just need more money. Eccelstone..... yeah, no.

Restart at 14:05 local time.

Meanwhile, Ted Kravitz is giving us an interesting lesson on how to debug an ECU.

12 minutes to restart.

EDIT: 2:05pm local time restart.

It's adrenaline but they should know better. Forget drainage, you can easily lose control due to the change in grip levels between surfaces.

Niki doesn't think they should have repaired the barrier or stopped the race (for an hour).

It's terrible for the spectators, but no way should you leave that mangled mess for anyone else to hit.

Yes, he did. He put his right foot down instead of his left.

Never hit the brakes while merging in traffic. You'll get a semi up your behind. :D

Be interested in seeing that replay from Kimi's on-boards... if they ever get around to showing it.

No, he said the race needed to be stopped to clean up, but not fix the barrier.

If that bloody tarmac run off was a sandtrap like it should be, we'd be over halfway through the race by now

That's why I said (for an hour).

Frankly on a fast bend like that there shouldn't be gully's etc because the likelyhood of big run off's is high.

What'd he say?

Fittipaldi didn't respond to Ron Dennis's comments directly but just praised Jenson as one of the best and most complete drivers out there. The McLarens are looking nifty today, seems they made some good changes.

he should have lifted but its easy for us to say that now

I feel so bad for Kimi this year , Monaco has been the only bright spark for him this season so far

That, possibly, is what he should have done... at least partially... but yes, it's easy to say so in hindsight, but not when you've gone off at such high speeds.
